I think the reaction will be strong and as good as Iron Man. I'm think late 80s-early 90s. Yeah, I'm going safe with my prediction haha.

I think it will get a 90-92%. I don't see it getting IM1's 94%, but I think it will score high! Plus, early buzz from test screenings is solid. I think critics will enter the screening expecting it to be good, and they'll like it much like IM1. I don't think critics will have any stigma toward it, like they have for other films.

Normal people won't care about that.

I do expect some critics to trash the film simply for being called Captain AMERICA. Especially the foreign press.

Really? I'd say they are really kind to Superhero movies.

Spider-Man got an 88% rating

Spider-Man 2 got an 93% rating

Spider-Man 3 even got a 63% rating

X-Men got an 82% rating

X2 got an 88% rating

First Class got an 87% rating

Hulk (which is much hated by normal people) got a 62% rating

The Incredible Hulk got a 66% rating

Kick Ass got a 76% rating

Hellboy got an 81% rating

Hellboy 2 got an 87% rating

Thor got a 78% rating

Iron Man got a 94% rating

Iron Man 2 got a 74% rating

Batman Begins got an 84% rating

The Dark Knight got a 94% rating

Superman Returns (which the audience was meh on) got a 76% rating

I fail to see the bias.

Agreed, there is no bias against superhero films. They just bash the mediocre to sucky ones. I don't think there is a mass critic bias against the genre. Maybe certain critics, yes. But, the critics as a whole? BS.

I would guess in the 70's. The trailers look good. But it's a tricky franchise to adapt.
