I know it was a crap move they did to us. When the mods prior said it would just be moved to a new subforum number page. But its still great that cape was able to get them to change minds.

It's good to have a dedicated sub forum to Smallville.
Has anyone seen The Science of Superman ? It includes quite some nice clips from Smallville (and it was produced by Singer's production house for WB.)

Yeah, and it has some of my favorite Smallville moments in it. I recommend it to anyone interested in Superman.

Yeah, it was released around the same time as the "Look, Up in the Sky" documentary which was done to commemorate the release of Superman Returns.
But I remember seeing it years ago and its great. I love how they tried to explain where his powers come from and how he uses them.

IGN has listed "Smallville" as number 6th spot in their Top 25 Comic Book TV Shows list (The Adventures of Superman is at #23, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman is at #19 and finally Superman: The Animated Series is at #13. JL/JLU got # 5) IGN's Number 1 choice is BTAS - Batman : The Animated Series
Smallville There have been many actors who have played Clark Kent, but it's doubtful any will equal Tom Welling, in terms of the amount of screen time he had to show what life is like for a Man of Steel, across an impressive ten-year run. Yes, Smallville had some wild ups and downs in terms of storylines and seasons, but at its best, it did a compelling job of telling the story of a boy born with powers far greater than those around him, and how he learned to use those abilities for something worthwhile and just as a man. The portrayals of iconic Superman touchstones like Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) were very popular, and the show also created some strong new characters, such as Chloe Sullivan (Alison Mack) and Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman). It was also especially fun, as the show continued, to see more and more DC Comic book characters introduced -- many in their very first live-action appearances. http://tv.ign.com/articles/121/1214608p4.html

No diss to folks who did like it, there will always be folks who have different opinions on anything. For me and others we just were not pleased with SR at all.
Woot for smallville to make it within top ten of that list.

The two live action shows that were ahead of it (The Incredible Hulk and The Walking Dead) both of which I love(d) are a bit iffy. As great as the Hulk show was, it's really badly dated and didnt run all too long (dont get me started on the TV movies either). AS for TWD, great show, but it's only 12 episodes in. Still a long way to go with that one.

There are not enough live action comic book themed shows on TV.

well technically there has been a bunch the 50s superman, the 60s batman, shazam, iris shows, hulk, the 70s spider-man, smallville, lois and clark, superboy(80s), wonder woman, and some others i am sure i am forgetting. That is still a good chunk.

Best animated series without a doubt. I just think you can't accurately compare a children's cartoon to live action TV.

Watched the finale two nights ago. That Clark and Lex scene is my favorite in the series.

I finally started catching the TNT reruns, and right now they're up to the mid point of season 10 and it really makes me wish I had the boxset, even though I already have the episodes downloaded on my computer and am waiting for the price to drop on the set.
Also, in non SV related news, I was hoping that my fellow SV fans could help me out in the HYPE Deathmatch in the community. It's been a close matchup and I could really use some votes. Please? ![]() http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=374001

Ya i been watching the tnt reruns when i can/ie when i dont have work conflicting with it. I do hope once season 10 is over they will finally start from season 1. But since they started first with season 8, my guess is likely tnt at the present moment may only have the rights for the later seasons.

Yeah, I'm eager to see what happens in a couple of weeks when the season is over. But it would be a great thing if they started season 1 during the first week of the new year.
