Rotten Tomatoes still has the same count, but they finally put Roger Moore and James Rocchi on the Main Captain America Page and switched the order around so that the Fresh Picks are on top.

I did like FF and I admit to being entertained watching G.I. Joe. At home. On Watch Instantly on Netflix. Also loved The Mummy and The Mummy Returns too, in the theater no less.

Can't we stop critiquing certain movie bona fides? People are entitled to enjoy a little cheese every now and then

But Steve Rogers can have his own private battles that are just as interesting to watch. I agree with you, but I believe some critics have stated that that is in the movie maybe not elaborated on as much and as deeply as some would like, but it is there. It's just part of who Steve Rogers is. Why someone stays humble even with power just may not be all that interesting to certain people. Heck the reason Steve gets chosen in the first place is because of who he was.

But I do see your point. Having some sort of struggle with himself would maybe have drove it home better, having it kind of just be there may not be enough for some, but for those who understand the character and know who he is it may work better. Hence the divide in reviews. Some love it some hate it. I think the more interesting stuff with Steve Rogers is yet to come, him dealing with the loss of everyone he cared about and fought for, while adjusting to his new time period.

RT has been doing that a lot more lately with movies, and not just Captain America, but with GL and Cars 2 and X-Men FC and Thor. It's obnoxious, especially since they label some reviews as positives, but they're more mixed than anything. And tracking every single review addition prior to a consensus being determined (which I think is around 30 reviews... WTF?!) just makes the tweeting more asinine.

I'm not saying it's a conspiracy or anything, just stupid use of a social network

I don't like RT's use of the language: "still currently #rotten"? Sounds like they are more than impartial poster of critics' reviews.

Ebert had a good article recently on whats wrong with rotten tomatoes.

I'm especially waiting for his and james beradinellia (sp?) reviews. Usually I agree with them like 80% of the time, so if they both like it I usually do too.

Ebert hasn't met a superhero movie he's liked this year. I normally listen to him but not in this particular genre.

Ebert and I don't agree often....I find that he's often out of touch. His writing is still very good, but his criticisms I feel often miss the mark. Beradinelli I often agree with as well.

I absolutely respect Ebert. He's the man and I love following him on Twitter. We just have divergent viewpoints on CBMs is all. And those opinions I'll rely mostly on my internet fan sites to determine whether or not to go opening weekend or wait.

I'm kind of interested in Douglas' take, the guy from Coming Soon. I admit I was a little disheartened to see the guy over on CBR give a negative review, but there are a ton more positives than his so I'll look mostly at those.
