So with filming about to start in a week or so and with The Dark Night Rises, The Avengers, and Spider-man putting out Teasers (lengthy ones at that) a whole year early. Is it fair to say that we'll get one for MOS in the next two months. Usually a teaser is like 30 secs long but all of aforementioned have been about a minute and half. And if so what do you guys want to see or not see for that matter. I for one am going to try my absolute best not to spoil anything but it might be to tempting. It's been so long and I'm looking forward to it so strongly that I may not be able to keep away. I like the teasers I've seen so far of the three movie above and how they did not show any action but they showed the suits and the villians. That's what I want for MoS. Thoughts?

There is no chance we'll get one that soon. I think we're looking at December for a teaser. Probably with Sherlock Holmes I'd say.

With The Dark Knight Rises it was different because the hype was at a much higher level than it is with the Superman reboot.

Oh wow...I'd just be happy to get a peek at the suit right now.
As for the teaser..It needs to show that MOS has lots and lots of action.

Still, if it were up to me, even this early i'd go ahead and do a slight teaser. put the logo up and the usual ''MOS, Dec, 2012'' or something like that. Never to early for that.

Sherlock Holmes sounds like it would be the one to put it out for us. But I think if we get a peek at the suit that would get the hype rolling and give us one sooner. I have my money on The Immortals

Yeah I see where you are going with that. It could show Supes blooded? That way the assumption is there.

edit: I want them to hint at the action but not show it.

Nah, I think we'll get something way before then. There's no way they will be able to keep leaks out that long. We'll be on our second teaser by Superbowl.

I don't care if the trailer is 10 minutes long and full of the most awesome footage you could ever imagine. Even that wouldn't get me to sit through Happy Feet 2.


That movie has the most excruciating trailer I've ever seen since... well, since the trailer for the first Happy Feet.

Well with Supes starting in a week thats about the same time of filming for the 3 movies that have teaser trailers out now.

I suppose by February or March of the new year we will get a teaser at least. If you compare to the Spidey reboot which began Dec 2010, this would put MOS in the same time frame right?

As many have said, we'll most definitely see a teaser with Sherlock or Happy feet. I would then say the full teaser with the dark knight rises as that movie will be bringing in the cash.

As for what I want to see in the trailer? POWERS. Flight. Heat vision. Sppeeeeeddd. I'd like to see him lose it as Clark Kent and blast heat vision in slow motion with pieces of his glasses flying

Just like 99.9% of other posters around here, I want to see a city/world wide struggle.
In a brief teaser, i'd like to see a huge city (any large city in the world) smoking and in ruins. We see several dozen cars crushed on the streets, some are burning. Large slabs of concret from damaged buildings litter the streets as well. A semi truck is seen sticking out of the 40th floor of a highrise. Sirens are heard everywhere, as are helicopters.

The camera pans up and out, and we see two figures in the air, hovering. It's Zod and Superman. They're having a stand off, and from the looks of both and the city below, they have already had round one. Both are bruised up and breathing hard, and both of their suits are damaged.

The camera moves in. We see them up close as they stare at each other with stern determined looks.
They launch at each other at superspeed and......the camera fades out, \S/ logo, release date.

I think there will be a teaser in December. Usually with most big films anymore they seem to do a year in advance teaser. By then they will have a few months in the can so I'm sure they can do something.

But I was hoping we would get a promotional shot of Cavil as Supes during SDCC. (crosses fingers)
