Anyway i'm gutted. I don't feel like I should have to contain that, or apologise for it. This is superherohype, the one place where I shouldn't have to feel judged for extreme geeky over the top emotional reactions to comic book/movie news...

That sucks for us but it's probably because they believe in it, which is great! That and it's on my birthday so I can say I now have plans in 2 YEARS!

This is great for Man of Steel. Snyder and Co don't have to rush and get the film out now. They can take their time and make a really good Superman film. This bodes well for the film's future.

please lets not use the word ''rush'' with MOS and december. yes more time is always good. but there is no way that MOS would be rushed for december.

It helped that IM and TDK were two months apart. There's no doubt that if those two were released 1-2 weeks apart, they would've cut into each others' earnings.

I totally agree. Plus I can see a strong competition from star trek 2 and iron man 3, but not from thor 2 and wolverine 2...

I was thinking that too. It might be best to try to push the whole idea of MOS to the back of my mind for a while... but it's probably not going to happen

??? The Amazing Spider-Man got done shooting a while back and still won't be release for another year. Why? Special effects. It takes longer than a year after the end of shooting for a picture of this magnitude to do visual effects, convert to 3D (or maybe they are shooting in 3D which still takes long to process) and edit the film. Ending the shoot in December or spring would have put an unnecessary time constraint on a film you want to blow people away and possibly use as your new tentpole franchise.

Yeah, I sort of feel the same way. I check this forum religiously hoping for relevant news that may have been released. However now I feel like it may be pointless.

It will pay off in the long run. No rushjob, better effects, and IMO increased Nolan involvement which is a good thing considering Snyder has never made a grounded real-worldish movie.

With the extended push though, I just hope WB gives the fans and public tidbits to keep them happy and talking until then though like a photo of Cavill, or video diaries once in awhile, something!
