I'm heading to Florida (from Chicago) on Thursday (driving), I hope stop in Plano to check-out the set and get some Pics and Video for everyone. Hoping to catch something cool!

man.....just seeing these set pics........it means the SR franchise is officially dead.......lol.

I remember back when we weren't sure if the next Superman movie was going to be a SR sequel or a reboot. Back then, under a different screenname, I said I won't believe a reboot is actually happening until I see concrete evidence.

and now we see these set pics!!

it's really happening!! a new Superman movie!

Hopefully a good superman movie. Even though Nolan's name is on the producing credit. He hasn't really done allot. Far to busy with rises. That worries me.

well, I always thought that Nolan's role was to "get the ball rolling" on the project and once he found the director, he'd hand over the reigns to him.

but yes, I do hope MOS will be a good Superman movie.

All it needs now is a mailbox that reads "Kent"
The Kent farm in Smallville looked like a rich person's ranch. Jonathan Kent was not a rich man, that's part of the point of the character. So yeah, I think you guys are right about the house. But Pa needs to get Clark to fix some of that underpinning on the front of the joint, my OCD is killing me with those slats out of place.

It looks like a real farm in the mid west lots of trees for shade to keep the house cooler in the summer. Not just corn. I live in an area like that.

Great work by the production crew now if we could only get pics of Henry in the suit!

Don't we usually get something, from the studio, saying that filming has officially started? I'm just curious as to why we haven't seen it yet? I know that they don't do it for every movie, but I thought that you will usually see one for a high profile movie?

Did they rent the farm or did they build it?

I find myself really excited about how this production is coming along, something that didn't happen with SR. I thought that maybe WB would of been more cautionary with the budget after SR but they seem to be sparing no expense. I think it helps that they have such a solid cast that they don't want to let anybody down.

I was excited with SR during the Clark Kent photos cause Routh looked so spot on as the character. That was interrupted by the Superman costume photos and the film started losing appeal for me then. I stayed on because it was Superman, but it was not the production I hoped for and I saw it the more I heard plot details (including Brando being brought back for Jor-el ) about no origin elements and Lois having a kid and fiance.

I think part of the reason why WB will be going all out for this movie, is that with Harry Potter ending, The Dark Knight ending, they'll need a new tentpole moneymaking series. Superman has that potential if it's done right and if its has the action and story. What's promising about this movie is that it's going to have a lot of action, and Goyer, Christopher Nolan, and Jonathan Nolan have had a hand in this script. In Superman Returns it was largely Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty being guided by Bryan Singer and his vision (which sucked).

I think it's just shameful that, of all the "top tier" CB properties in recent years, the one that failed to get a sequel and establish a franchise was Superman!!

I mean......it's Superman!!

hopefully, MOS will be the one to establish that Superman franchise.

and yay for the tornado scene. again, it reminds me of For All Seasons!

I do hope that's one book they've looked to for inspiration.

SR was a "vague sequel" to the Donner movies. But, it was supposed to be the start of a new, modern Superman film franchise. By now, we probably would have had SR2 and they'd probably be working on SR3 right now.

of course, SR failed to establish a franchise ( thankfully.....lol ), and here we are!
