The problem with the Iron Man games is that IM was presented as an attack helicopter sim, instead of a superhero. You might as well have been playing Apache: Air Assault.

Don't know what the problem was - just for me personally, it's the same problem I have with Superman games.

Is there really time to make a quality Avengers game from now until when the game is released?

& they just not to long ago got the rights back. They would have had been making this game in secret for something decent to come out. This will be a failure on epic proportions

Yeah, no way do they push out even a beta in 6-7 months.

If/when an Avengers game comes out, I wouldn't look for it until Holiday 2012 --- say Novemberish --- at the earliest.

I wish Marvel would put up a decent fight against Arkham City with an Avengers game. They won't though and it's not like Disney are much better.

In b4 Kingdom Hearts. What a shame Marvel can't organise their gaming department.

Yeah but I mean, keep in mind, that Kingdom Hearts was more Square Enix's game than Disney Interactive.

I think no matter what, don't rush a game out just to rush a game out. We don't need another disaster like Thor.

I'm still hoping for Lego Avengers. Lego Pirates was announced last November, so maybe this one will have an announcement too.

I agree. Arkham Asylum was great because WB resisted rushing it out to coincide with Batman Begins, and took their time to really develop it, and the result was spectacular. And remember that before AA, Batman didn't have alot of great games before it, except for that Lego game. Marvel should take their time to find a great developer, then let them do the best job they can, instead of rushing a half-baked product that will end up on the bargain bin within a month of its release.

They should take Batman's lead and make a great game based on the characters that doesn't corner itself into following the plot of the film.

Raiden, more like for The Dark Knight since Arkham Asylum came out in 2009 and there was a game for Batman Begins but not for Dark Knight. But basically all you say is correct.

It's tough since the Arkham games have raised a new standard that's hard to reach. UA games were good, but they are not the level of Arkham.

I thought some of the first person game looked good and would've been interesting to see.

You really just need a team and visionaries and let them make something magical and give them time so its not rushed.

They should just start developing an epic Avengers game to end all superhero games and plan for it to come out with Avengers II.

If they have to sell something with Avengers just use the MMO.

The first person game trailers look cool...but I don't like first person superhero games. I want to fully see the hero I'm playing as.

That's because it was really cool. lol

If the first person view was optional it'd have been better.

In response to the current status of an "The Avengers" movie video game, referring to the game that was recently scrapped in mid-production, Frazer replied, "Yes, Marvel did get the rights back for 'The Avengers,'" and fans should look forward to a game being released near the opening of the film. = http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=35060

How is that possible though? Have they been developing another game for like a year? How can we even expect a quality game released so quickly?

We can't. I can't think of single great game in the modern age that was developed quickly.

Well, hopefully they were able to salvage the cancelled game and handed it to another studio to finish.
