I liked the fact that the S was a family symbol. It was just a symbol in the shape of an 'S'.

Superman putting the S on to stand for Superman just smacks a bit of ego and narcissism. 'Oh, I'm Superman. Hence why I put the 'S' on my chest.'

I know in the 78 film she did. But the 'S' was a family crest that happened to be in the shape of an 'S'.

So, why else appear for the first time with an 'S' on his chest? Any other way seems a bit... ego'ish lol

lol. If they used that in the film the would be funny:

Lois: So, the 'S', what does it stand for?

Supes: The 'S'?

Lois: The 'S' on your chest? Does it stand for... errrrr... Superman?

Supes: Superman?

Lois: Yeah.

Supes: Well eh...

Lois: Oh yeah. Superman. Wow. That'll make a great article. An interview with 'Superman'.

Supes: Well, actually, erm... Superman?

Lois: LALALALALALALALALALALALALA (in world of her own as she writes.)

lol Just a thought :-p.

Default The "S".

What do you think of it? Do you love it or hate it? Do you think they should have went with a different design?

We haven't completely seen it yet. I want to see a full undistorted full image before I decide if I like it or not.
I voted undecided.

I like the earth 2 Superman emblem on this suit. It looks like it has kryptonian origins.

Totally agree!

Seriously, the symbol looks pretty great. I like the Birthright explanation, but I'm cool with just about anything.
