Nope. There's no red in the legs. Its just a black or gold seam like the belt.

Hey guys, I have a question, it concerns this costume, but also the DCnU suit too: why does it matter if the man has trunks or not? Don't you guys see how...stupid the argument is? I mean, it seems like it doesn't matter if Superman becomes a rapist, or if they decide to make him kill every bad guy in each issue; if he doesn't have trunks, I'm walking off. Well, on one hand, if that's how you really feel, and you will leave Superman/DC because of a trunkless suit, I have one message for you people; good riddance. I hope you never come back. But come on guys, we're fighting over red underwear. I know the suit is iconic and timeless, but its also versatile and interchangable. We see the shield has a very '40s vibe, well one time during the '40s, then again starting in 1996, then 2001 and 2003; the shield was red and black. And those so-called trunks, weren't always trunks: they were underwear, they were also speedos from certain artist images.

Seriously, though; complaining about red underwear is a reason why people like DC, WB, or anybody probably shouldn't or aren't quite really listening to fandom. Because the comments can be really dumb. Why do you think the anime industry is falling in america; its because of the fans. Besides, doesn't anyone even realized that the red trunks is sorta distracting? Your eyes go there first; it should be either the "S" or the man's face.

Look, people are entitled to their opinions, but when they are unresonable, I have to go against it. People shouldn't complain over trunks, it should be character, or basics of a suit even though in reality it is an accessorie. If someone told me, or posted somewhere, that he was leaving only if the core of the character was altered enough to make him into someone else instead of the actual character him/herself, or if the suit was changed to the point where the changes don't work regardless or X or Y reason; as long as its reasonable, then okay.

But red underwear...? Come on, guys.

I don't know if it's just the pose, but the cape is too long for Superman, IMO. Overall, I think this looks great.

I think it is just reflection on the shield, if you look on the right side of the pentagon on the slide that slopes down, there is no border.

Since its a new thread I will reiterate how much I love this suit.

I did not mind hte SR suit that much, but the things that I like about the MOS suit over this one is a few things.

1. Supes looks way better with a giant S symbol on his chest, SR's was too small.
2. The cape, I don't need to say more, the cape looks better than it ever has before on film.
3. The boots are just awesome.
4. The colors seem more correct in this one.

However, the things I do like from SR is the texture of the suit, I think it does add more visual flair that film does need to give the hero more texture. And I am glad they did that.

Now I can't wait to see Jor-El in costume
