Thor 2 Villains?

Hendricks is a great choice. She is beautiful and has the archetypal figure of a woman. She oozes sex.


I also think Amanda Seyfreid is a good choice if they went with a younger Amora. Someone suggested her in the Enchantress casting thread.

Diane Kruger is quite attractive as well and has more gravitas, which would make it easier to take her seriously as a formidable sorceress. Amanda Seyfried may be able to pull off evil better than Hendricks but she doesn't look the part either. Reducing Amora to a sexpot is stupid, the film should ideally add depth to her character. I am not saying that Hendricks couldn't play an Asgardian, I am saying that she's not a good choice for that particular one .

The fact that she's a decent actress and has played similar roles before makes her a top contender IMO. She certainly wins in the classic beauty department for the simple reason that she has better features than Hendricks. This is Kruger with minimal makeup which was also the default look for Asgardian women in the last film:



Kruger has an elegant figure and the proper height to play Amora. She can always gain weight and her costume can be designed to enhance her feminine attributes .

Still prefer Hendricks though. Her work on Mad Men is incredible.

I really doubt that enchantress really has to have curves. It's exaggerated like almost every female character in comics.

Nope. I'm not saying she's not beautiful, she obviously is. I'm just saying I wouldn't put her in the category of women I think are hot enough to be the most seductive woman in Asgard.

And I think figure does play a part in it. Its well known that people respond sexually to body shape before face or anything else comes into play. Waist to hip ratio is a BIG indicator of primal sexual attraction.

I would prefer Amora not be to skinny or slim. Some guys like the skinny model chicks, but I think an hourglass is what you need for Amora.

as far as non-asgardian villains-
Mephisto (john romita jr. version), absorbing man, wrecking crew, Seth, Pluto..

Marvel can make up for casting a waifish woman as Emma Frost by casting Christina Hendricks as Amora...

Aside from Thanos, is there really anyone (villain) in the Marvel Universe (that the Studio owns the rights to) that could actually push Thor to his physical limit? To the point, where he could theoretically be killed in a battle against that person?

Given what we saw in "Thor", Thor was, or at least imho, never really pushed to his limit when he was fully powered.

I'm pretty confident that he had held himself back when fighting against Loki due to his love for his younger brother, and he took care of the Destroyer easily on his own, while having wiped out countless Frost Giants on his own with ease as well.

Quite a bit. Most of 'em.
The Midgard Serpent; Desak; Surtur; Ymir; Korvac; Creed; Ego the Living Planet; Graviton; Mangog; Onslaught; Hulk; many many more. Not least of which was Kal-El himself.

Of course, as usual, most of those conflicts were played up by the writers to make them more challenging than they should have been --- i.e., a weakened Thor; plot devices forcing Thor to pull his punches, etc.

I think the movie portrayed him beating the Destroyer to easily. In the comics who usually loses or barely pulls out a win. I guess it matters who controls it, I hope thats not the last we see of the Destroyer. Surtur could push Thor to his physical limit as could Odin and others as well such as Beta Ray Bill also a properly used Destroyer.
