There's a certain number of posts you're required to make before you can start using an avatar. I'm not sure what the minimum is.

Solidgun's \S/ is amazing! And I really hope that's what we get. From what we see it looks like it will be something along those lines!

I made this before I saw Solidgun's version, makes mine look like crap. XD But the design is really close!

No, this is really cool as well. I'll be happy with something close to SolidGun's design or yours.

The thing I don't like about Guasp's design, however, is the way his interpretation of the symbol sort of curves in.

If it looks like this, then I'm happy with the \S/. But I'm afraid it's going to look too "cartoonish".

I think a lot of that will depend on the "finish" and the colouring more than anything. Take SolidGun's poster for example. It's pretty much the same design as above, but looks a LOT less cartoonish IMO. There's lots to play with.

You need atleast 300 posts to use an avatar, and even then its only a little one. You can't post a fancy one until way down the line

Those are closer, but still not quite right. It seems that both of you are manipulating the Returns shield, but the MOS one doesn't look like it at all.

The main body of the S is still a little thicker, and is at more of an angle; it's not as horizontal as that. Also, the space between the end of the top tip and the main body is not that large. There isn't that much yellow there.

Like this image:

It's basically the body of the one on the left, combined with the tips of the one on the right.

There's another shot of the shield on the back of the chair here, showing the thickness of the S from a more straight-on angle:

From the MOS Facebook page.

Now, everyone adjust their renders accordingly...

EDIT: A little bit brightened:

Great renders, the colored one looks great. I'm really starting to like the shield now.

If you hit the Download button on the facebook page you get the original size. Here I turned up the brightness and lowered the contrast so maybe we can see the \S/ a little clearer.

The chair is bent slightly, because it's showing the top gap (yellow area) as being much much thinner than the set pic. But the bottom looks thinner than how I rendered it. And it appears Elayis was right about the shape of the diamond.

The edge of the shield more straight than curved, which is how I was hoping it'd be for the promo stuff. It's probably only on the suit that is has more dimension, like the bat symbol on the Begins suit.

I don't know what Snyder is planning to do, but I think one of the reasons the hair was a little off in the promo shot, is because Cavil hasn't had his Superman hair trim yet. LOL

Of course maybe he already has, and they are going with longer hair, but I hope it's shorter before they start filming.

Well, the camera info tag on the pic said it was taken on 7/27/2011, and his hair in those set pics don't look any different from Comic-Con, which was a couple days before the official pic was taken. I'd say his hair is just straightened a little instead of curly, which makes it look longer.
