I don't think anyone wants to remember.

If you didn't actually know, I envy you. Not because you didn't know but because you are yet to see this wonderful movie for the first time.

I know it exists. I've just never gone near it, besides the deleted "Bizarro" scene.

Oh, come on! There's not a better vehicle for Jon Cryer than a Superman movie!

That video didn't show up but I just searched for it and found this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WjC7w9zWuE

All I can say is: WOW, I didn't think Superman 4 could get any worse... but I was wrong.

I watched all the Superman movies again recently, hence why I suddenly remembered Lex posed as a high up Army guy in Superman IV.

Superman 1 is still excellent, 2 is not quite as amazing but still a very watchable film with decent action, 3 slips a little further down the slope but the junkyard scene almost redeems the whole film ............................. and then 4 comes along, and it just plain sucks. Crappy production value, ridiculous plot elements, woeful special effects, and lots more. Reeve was skinny, and they used a cheaper Superman suit which didn't do him any favours.

The film has a human breathing in space for crying out loud.

Which version of 2 did you watch? Was it the theatrical version, or the Richard Donner cut? Just curious...

It's okay, it's in the past! It's over now, there there. The memories will fade in time

Besides, even back then they had the sense not to actually use the scene!

Heh, I remember seeing that movie in the theater when I was 6 years old. And even at that young age, I actually remember thinking, "how is she breathing in space?" Horrible, just horrible. I guess that Superman's new powers in that movie not only included Rebuilding Great Wall Vision but also Create Invisible Atmosphere in Space So Humans Can Breathe.

Superman IV rivals Batman & Robin, Steel and Catwoman for "Worst Superhero Movie of All Time."

In fact, it might actually win that coveted award. Even the great Christopher Reeve is pretty much unwatchable in that movie. And when you make Christopher Reeve suck - AT PLAYING SUPERMAN- that's an accomplishment in incompetence. The only credit I'll give the filmmakers of that horrid piece of sh** is that they at least had the good sense not to include Naked Glam Rock Bizarro Man.
