How about sunglasses? Break them and use them for lenses.
I'm doing a kind of low-budget, home-grown hipster Spider-Man for Halloween.

That'd be cool, but not what I'm going for. I like the homemade aspect of it though. There's something a little more exciting about seeing a version of Spider-Man that isn't the movie version or a halloween store version.

Do they make Zentai/Morph suits in any materials other than spandex and lycra?

I'm using pants and gloves and such with a stylized backpack. It will be skinnier than this, but...
![]() Also, Converse-style shoes/socks combo instead of the tennis shoe/baggy legs thing in this picture. |

Hey guys, I just got a red zentai suit to use for a Spidey costume. I ordered a crimson one as I wanted a deeper red color but it turned out a bit more like maroon. It looks great in bright light but not so much in shadow. the mask also is not exactly what I want. I guess I need to sew a mask. Anyone got any tips for non raised webbing? I dont want to do screen printing as I dont really have the money right now. Will a fabric pen work maybe?

You could probably get a similar effect with clear tape. Get two strips, and, like... roll(??) each one as fine as you can, then wrap them around each other.
Just wanted to throw that out for anyone who doesn't have access to a hot-glue gun, etc. |

@spideyfan07
its just hot glue over twine. theres 2 ways you can do it, lay it down on tin foil or hang the twine from the ceiling, i personally recommend hanging it from the ceiling. But I wouldn't reccomend using twine, I'm going to try to get a dowel, spray paint it white and cover it with glue. I think that will be more realistic looking. cause the twine looks pretty bad close up. you can obviously tell its twine. |

How about a few long strands of fishing wire with hot glue..?
Kind of related... well, not really. lol, but has anyone ever used those iron on things? Y'know, the transfer paper? I was planning on printing out a spider logo onto the front/back of a shirt. lol |

I'm yet to try fishing line, I'm going to try fishing line with silicone on it. (what they used for the first 3 films). I'll post pics when I'm done.
As for the iron on things, I tried to make a punisher shirt with it. Horrible Quality. peels off like crazy. I reccomend just buying a shirt. |

Frontier costuming is selling a printed replica suit from the New Reboot along with lenses but you have to put the lenses on and sew it yourself for $365 |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks all I'm just waiting to put it on and takes some pics with a proper camera and not a webcam. Theres a shell in there but i couldn't get it to stand up with the mannequin i got cos there no neck lol. The webshooters were based of tiny pixelated images from the first pictures. I would never trade organics for webshooters any day of the week.. by the end of this week I think I should be finished. can't wait to put it on. |

No i had to make these by hand but i did design some in 3D, just not making it that way this time round as it's not feasible. |
