^True, it is a staple of the franchise so they will definately keep it in the title.

Watched the first movie on BD last night and I really found more prominent the suggestion that Caesar and Koba will become enemies, cant wait to see that come to fruition. Anyone see the deleted scene of Koba picking up and using a shot-gun in the woods? Would have loved to see that kept in the movie.

Love it. Can't wait for the sequel Return of the Revenge of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Just finished Rise and it was amazing. Much prefer this origin for the apes than the time loop origin of old. It'll be interesting to see where they take it and if they recast Taylor and sort of re-imagine the first movie in their own way at some point.

And PLEASE you have to keep Planet of the Apes in the title. That's part of the series appeal.

Yeah I definitely saw that as a potential cliffhanger or after credit scene to the final cut of the movie leading up to a potential revolt from Apes in the sequel.

Also quick question, I looked at the bonus features did they actually use Serkis' voice for Caesar and add some vocal effects or is someone else? I was thinking for the sequel (assuming that a portion of the Apes are capable of speech) that if they do decide to have voice actors I would love if they had an ensemble cast of veteran voice actors. If Serkis' decides not to voice Caesar in the sequel I think Fassbender would be perfect IMO.

Yeah it seemed to be an after credits scene and I would have loved it if they had kept it in, might have been a bit of a WTF moment to just have a shot-gun lying on the floor in the woods.

Not sure on the "No" moment, but it definately sound like Serkis at the end when he says "Caesar is home."

For my money the orangutan was the best cgi that I've seen of an organic creature.

I totally agree, I am interested to see how Maurice and Caesar's friendship develops in the sequel. I have a feeling that something will happen inside their Ape population and they will develop rules and order which shall say Ape shall not kill Ape (I have a feeling Koba will do something to that extent).

So it's a priority for Fox? That's great to hear.

Oh good. I had heard Wyatt was planning on doing that other film and was worried that it may put off the next Apes film.

I am very interested to see where they go next with this. They have a very solid basis to go off in many possible different directions.

I hope the first production still is a motion capture helmet.

It's almost recognizable as Magneto's helmet or a Batmobile shot.

^Well, hopefully they allow a bit more time for the production this time and allow a few more ideas from Wyatt so we get a sequel that matches the excellent first movie.

Gotta say im so happy this is happening...I walked into the cinema thinking the 1st would be good and it turned out to be my fav film of the entire year!

Wonder if Franco will be back? The best parts for me where just learning with Ceasar as he went along and I hope they dont jump time too much for the sequel..wanna see them learn to speak more and not just be talking from the start, etc.

Judging by the speed of the virus, Franco's character and his girlfriend are probably dead.

I think it would be neat if each sequel got us further and further from how the virus started to people who don't even know how it began.
