Can we not choose a fanboy's wet dream for the role please? Thanks.

I wouldn't mind Rosie as Mary-Jane or even Alexandra Breckenridge.

How about Mekenna Melvin? She recently played John Casey's daughter and Morgan's love interest Alex in Chuck.

Someone who I don't think has ever been mentioned plus she's 27 at present. Someone new to bring to the table. I don't think she'll get the role but still you never know. It would be a big challenge her taking on Emma Stone though.

It's tough for anyone to take on Emma Stone right now. In addition to being probably the best young actress right now, her chemistry with Andrew Garfield was so great that most believe it can't be topped.

It's funny how you can picture my avatar as her response to the suggestion.

I never mind seeing more of Alison Brie, especially after Mad Men showed me that she's good at dramatic acting in addition to comedic.

So you like her lips and think she'll make a break in this role? I bloody well hope she NEVER acts again!!!!! She was one of the many reasons why Dark of the Moon was such a universal atrocity!!!!!

I've always backed the idea of Zooey Deschanel as Betty Brant, but you really can't go wrong with Alison Brie, either

Yeah and it's cool too that she's even older than Garfield. I believe she's going to be 30 this year? Could have fooled me. Looks so so young on Community!! I do hope she starts to wear some more flattering skirts on the show though.

No offense, but some of you all should try to expand your knowledge and experience of actors. Every time a casting topic is posted, almost all I ever see mentioned are actors that are predominant on current television shows or movies and wrestlers.

For instance, after Transformers came out, Megan Fox's name would always pop up whenever a female role needed to be cast. She's been suggested for Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and various other female roles. And I know damn well, the majority of the people who suggested her are only doing so based on looks.

And now because of Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence's name keeps popping up. Not saying she's a bad actress. She's actually good(unlike Fox), but the thing is, people seem to be suggesting her because she's the new It Girl. She'll probably be busy doing the Hunger Games and X-men First Class sequels anyway.

None taken. I was merely responding to the suggestion of Jennifer Lawrence, and I was trying to think of a character for which she would be better suited than MJ. I thought of Felicia Hardy, and it wasn't based on looks.

I'd still prefer either Amber Heard or Teresa Palmer for Felicia Hardy IMHO.

Looks dont really matter to me in who would fit the role, they`ll simply add make-up and hair dye to make them look like MJ. What matters is their acting ability.

Oh, by no means do I think Jennifer Lawrence is the best choice for Felicia Hardy (or any female Spider-Man character, for that matter). I actually don't like Jennifer Lawrence all that much as an actress. Maybe it was the script, but her role as Mystique in XFC didn't really do it for me.

Well, I can't really think of anyone I'd like to see play Mary Jane but I was thinking of how an old song would fit the character of Mary Jane in the movie, it's even called Mary Jane. Any Spidey fan knows that Mary Jane comes from an abusive home and this song would be nice to use in a sequel:
