I heard a rumor that says The Avengers trailer will be attached to Hugh Jackman's movie Real Steel. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Not a bad suggestion. I wouldn't mind him being both the voice and the body of Thanos (whether it's mo-cap or heavy makeup/costume).

Okay, I just did. Sorry, I posted right after I saw the rumor in another site, not bothering to check the previous pages first. Anyway, I'm not sure I'd want to see Real Steel, but I'm definitely tempted to do so if we don't get an online trailer.

I can't be the only one who thinks Real Steel looks awesome, right? I don't know what the heck I find so engaging about robots beating the crap out of each other, yet I do.

It's like if Battle-Bots met Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots met Rocky. WIN!

I've seen a couple of the trailers and it does look fun. Whether there's more to it than that remains to be seen.

I mean it's an extremely predictable story, sure. But as far as the look goes, I'm pretty impressed.

I was out of the loop for a while...has it been confirmed for the most part that Thanos will make an appearance?

No confirmation. I doubt Thanos will show up in the new trailer even if he's in the movie though, because I think he'll be something that Marvel and Whedon would want to keep as a secret for as long as possible.

Someone contacted Disney in the US, and they debunked it.
http://www.themoviepool.com/audience...al-steel?.html
Although we might see it hit us earlier as it's gonna be attached to Russian prints of Real Steel though...and they get trailers after everyone else! e.g. no TDKR trailer...

Idk, IF Thanos shows up in Avengers, there is probably an actor who plays him or at least does the voice acting. In these cases most of the time it's an A-list actor or at least someone with a recognizable name who might draw people into the theater. So, from a marketing point of view it's unwise to NOT make an announcement of the actors involvement and not build up some hype.

Does that make any sense?

They kinda did, but yes, the full version of the after-credits scene will be available on Cap's DVD/Blu-Ray.

I know, Disney reps my side of the pond (Russia) confirm the trailer, several minutes later a rep from the US side of the pond debunks it! Anyway, it will be out there somehow by mid-October, no matter where, and I hope we finally get to see the epic "We have a Hulk" scene...

That release does not count since it was an advertisement for an advertisement. Just say you were wrong with that one. Happens to everyone sometimes

Look, it's not my fault that Paramount decided to cut the trailer in order to promote Cap. It was such an unexpected move, coming from them.
