Default My Batman sketch

Here's a little something I'm working on for my Adobe FLASH animation class.

But here's a sketch I did last year.

The second achievement is when the sword exists in one's heart. When absent from one's hand one can strike an enemy at paces
even with bare hands.

Swordsmanship's ultimate achievement is the absence of the sword in both hand and heart. The swordsman is at peace with the rest of the world. He vows not to kill.

Default My Ms. Marvel design

I've been working on redesigning the Ms. Marvel costume for some time now. This is what I've done so far.

Cool man. By the way, I've been working as a flash (and after effects) animator professionally for the past 6 years or so. If you ever need any help, just let me know.

Thanks, man!

I'm now working on redesigning Storm's costume to have the Kenyan flag colors. I think I've finally gotten a breakthrough.

One of the concepts I've been playing with is poster designs for Marvel films. I hated the X-Men movie posters, but I can understand how hard it is to arrange multiple actors on to one poster. Still, I think somebody could have done better.

Another poster idea would be treatments for a Black Cat movie poster, in the style of classic film noir. And the other would be an Incredible Hulk 2 poster, emphasizing a gamma bomb explosion.

Anyway, I wait for the day this niche is finally brought back to a respectable art form.

So I've been trying to redesign Storm's costume with the Kenyan flag colors. This is what I've accomplished so far.

I'm thinking of redesigning the Superman costume. I've been planning on redesigning the Flash costume, but I was never that interested in it. Then, after the new 52 relaunch I was hugely disappointed with Superman's update. Then I got the inspiration that his costume should look like a futurisic space suit. Not the armor he and Supergirl are wearing now, but make it really look like it's a padded space suit. My current references are the suits in Defying Gravity and Gundam.

The storm costume is neat but I don't like her skirt thigh things. I feel like they would flop everywhere when she goes into weather mode. But if you are going to keep them I would add a red and brown accent to make the top and bottom match. The colors on the chap like skirt don't have to be bold, but subtle. But great job man. That's pretty amazing.

The skirt is supposed to open up like the Batman Begins cape. I should have drawn some side views to show that it's pleated starting from the hips to the back. And since it's below her waist instead of draping like a cape, I think it would even less obtrusive when she's using her powers. Look at Vice and Mature from King of Fighters.
