Ive been using Griffin as well but im starting to use Unarmored Marcus because he looks so weird.

Yea I like Griffins one liners. Anthony Carmine was always my go to in the last game but iv been using Jace since the start of this. Will prob go to Anthony once I hit the required level

I'm rocking Clayton Carmine. He's just so damn great, I love how hilariously meta he is... He's built to look like the ultimate bad-ass, huge arms, mean tats, 'grub killer' written on his chest, yet he sounds exactly like Carmine A and B which is hilarious. Also, when he executes dudes he says "I'll show YOU who's expendable!" Fantastic...


Also, I think I've discovered the first of the DLC Maps we're going to get. I was flicking through the Leaderboards on Horde, before the update, and there were 3 maps not in the actual retail game, that had no leaderboard scores in them. They were 'Rust Lung', 'Blood Drive' (which I assume is a remake from the Gears 2 previous) and 'Azura' (which for anyone who has finished Campaign, knows would be an awesome map)

That's strange. I played a couple of matches and I just don't have them. I know for a fact I unlocked The Gold Retro Lancer, both Flaming Shotguns and Cole Train.

I believe you need to have the beta data saved on the xbox you play Gears 3 on. If you simply sign into xbox live on that xbox then play a gears online match, it should upload that stuff to your profile.

Still not working for me. Played a couple of matches online and 2 acts of the story but I still don't have the beta unlocks.

anyways Horde is the best. hahah I kept giving this guy cash so he could buy the silverback and I got to use it a couple rounds.

And the vulcan... when I figured out one person had to shoot and one person had to reload I lol'd at the awesomeness and enjoyed the assists. I love how you can still spot enemies while carrying the ammo box too.

Nope, but I was lurking the Epic Games forums today and found out a lot of people have been having the same problem. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if Epic comes up with a fix for this.

BTW, for those who have gotten the achievement "Welcome to the Big Leagues": When did you get it? This is another glitchy thing on the game. Some say they got it as soon they started up the game and others when they reach a certain level.

The Big Leagues achievement can unlock depending how much multiplayer you played in GOW2, if you played a lot, probably based on level, it unlocked immediately.

I didn't play much GOW2 mp and I just got the achievement/graduated after reaching Lvl 17.

It opened right off the bat for me, although I think I was level 25 or something. Did anyone preorder the game from Best Buy? I can't find the code to get Baird, was just wondering where you find that.

I've always mostly used Dom and I started with Commando Dom for this game,But after beating campaign..I realized how awesome Dizzy was in Gears 2 and how even much more he is now..So I main Dizzy!!!

I always used Cole in Gears 2 and he's my default in Gears 3 right now. Just love his overenthusaism.

I just tore through beast mode... the berserker is crazy overpowered lol.

How tough is Beast mode, I'm imagining it's gotta be pretty tough since it's only 12 waves. Might try that tonight.

The first couple waves are the hardest coz your options are so crappy, but if you stick with it and unlock the fourth tier it gets craaazy fun. You should try it solo first coz then you get all the cash and can try everything out.

It's not bad if you're playing with people. I think the earlier waves are the hardest because you don't have the ridiculously awesome and powerful Locust like you do during the later rounds. We played on normal and beat it at around the 17 minute mark.

Just beat it & while I do like how the story was wrapped up. I wish we got more closure on what the characters ended up doing

Probably should have just rented this game. The campaign was excellent, and one of the most satisfying ones in the last few years to boot. While the campaign is fun, horde and the other multiplayer modes are the same frustrating modes they were with the last games and unfortunately for me, that really hurts this games replayability. Even bothering with insane and hardcore modes isn't even worth the frustration.

I'm in the middle of Act III on Hardcore, didn't bother playing through Normal first. I haven't found it too be too difficult or frustrating, usually I don't enjoy harder difficulties but this one is perfectly fine. The AI is really good at reviving you when needed.

I haven't played a TDM match since graduating out of casual. Hopefully I'll still be as good when I get in there with all the insane Gears players who have been at it for the last 6 years, lol.
