Stills from the Pilot

Definitely give a better sense of what the series will probably feel like than the cast pic.

The guy in the AC/DC t-shirt seems like vintage Kripke.

Photos And Details From J.J. Abrams And Eric Kripke's NBC Series Revolution
Author: Kelly West

Earlier this week, we shared the news that NBC had given a series order to the J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke created drama series Revolution. At the time, we had a cast photo and a vague description of the drama series. Today we have more information on the plot, and a few episode photos from the pilot to share. Check them out ahead!

Created by Abrams (Lost) and Kripke (Supernatural), Revolution stars Bill Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Anna Lise Phillips, Zak Orth, Graham Rogers, J.D. Pardo, Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Maria Howell, Tim Guinee and Andrea Roth. The story follows a group of survivors attempting to get by and trying to find their loved ones after all energy on the planet ceases to exist. NBC's official description for the series hints at the immediate mayhem that ensued following the loss of all energy, but goes on to say that the series picks up fifteen years after it happened…
Quote:
Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously – and unbeknownst to her – had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.
Moving the focus away from the initial fallout of the blackout by setting it more than a decade later is an interesting twist, and it seems to differentiate it somewhat from shows like Jericho and The Walking Dead in that way. But it also sounds like the mystery of the blackout is still a relevant topic, at least to the "young woman" referenced in the description.

Below are a couple of photos from the pilot episode, one of which shows us Billy Burke as Miles, while the others reveal JD Pardo as Nate, Tracy Spiridakos as Charlie, Zak Orth as Aaron, Anna Lise Phillips as Maggie.
Interesting that it begins 15 years post-blackout.

The only acting I found particularly off-putting was the fat guy with the AC/DC shirt. His delivery of "Your father was my friend. I'm coming with you." was like lol really?

Looks ****ing great IMO. Wasn't sure if Esposito would be playing the villain or not. Glad he is.

She's dang attractive.

My only problem is the AC/DC shirt guy though. He may need to go.

It looks visually amazing but I'm not buying any of these actors. That guy kicking major ass, he didn't look believable at all. I can see it having the same story structure as The Event, having 2 awesome episodes and then everything after that will be mediocre. I'll check it out though since there really aren't many TV shows I watch anymore, plus, the story seems neat. Eric Kripke rocks.

The first two eps made the show seem promising, that was about it.

I was turned off by The Event about 15 minutes into the first episode, asked myself "Can you really see yourself watching this for a full season?" and stopped there.

lol it took me a while to realise that ''Miles'' (Billy Burke) was Bella's dad in Twilight, kinda reminds me of how Dean (supernatural) would be like if he were much older.Anyway looking forward to this.

Not enough of that on television.

The notion of people on horseback, equipped with nothing but a sword, a musket or a bow and arrow just excites me.

I'm kinda on the bus of having never watched an episode of the series. Nothing really made me interested from all those promos and what not. It honestly seemed like The Event was just trying to ride on the coat tails of LOST.

They are really early with the trailer and it clearly has had a lot of money spent on it judging from the impressive production values, none of the characters looked very interesting though.

Well, they're trying to sell the concept. With something like this, you can only really get a feel for the characters when you're looking at the finished product.
