And you can determine that from ONE still of concept art?

Amazing.

How can everyone be judging by one simple picture? because of the description? Really not understanding why everyone is so down on the show before we know barely anything about it

That you're complaining about the way in which people complain. This is the internet. I once seen some douche decide a movie was unwatchable because they changed a characters hair style. The internet is a horrible, horrible thing filled with horrible, horrible people. Your best bet is to stay away or mock their insanity.

I can use the first released image of Avatar: The Last Airbender and dissect it to prove it was going to suck. Doesn't change the fact it went on to be perhaps the greatest American cartoon ever.

I'm not saying Beware the Batman may reach those heights, or even reach any heights at all, but this wouldn't be the first time a poor piece of early promotion led ot a great show, or even the thousandth.

You may really believe that, but you have absolutely NO proof of such an assertion.

The places I frequent (Comic Book Resources, Brotherhood of the Bat, Comic Bloc, and a number of action figure message boards) have a small minority of Bat-fans who like The Brave and the Bold.

Mostly who like it only do so because they're older, so it brings back memories of 60s-70s Batman (*shudder*) or they're very young so they don't have a context of the true character of The Batman.

Brave and the Bold was NOT a good Batman series. Had it been Superman instead of Batman, it would have made a lot more sense (of course it would have had to be called DC Comics Presents)

So please realize your opinion is based on nothing but your own desire to support a show you like. I've seen enough evidence to support that it is not a "great show," both from my own viewing of the show and from a large number of folks who also criticize it.

70"s Batman is great and is when DC moved away from the campy 50"s and 60's era. The 70"s brought back The Dark Knight Detective, so I don't know why you would shudder at 70"s Batman.

Here's the latest Brave & Bold related topic in CBR, You can't find a single negative comment on the show.

Oh, but you have the context of true Batman? Interesting, what might that be?
Quote:
Brave and the Bold was NOT a good Batman series.
It was so good that it changed the mainstream Batman comics and gave us Batman Incorporated, thats how awesome it was that DC's main Batman writer was inspired by it.

But the question remains, are we supporters not as stubborn minded as you? I mean, ignoring a whole decades of Batman material (and context) and denying this as an Batman? I know this comment comes off as rude/insulting, but you have to admit it's pretty stubborn to ignore whole years of Batman history. Which also means today's comics, because if there was no Brave & Bold, there wouldn't be Batman Incorporated.

I'd like to see this evidence and critism.

Beware the Batman
A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans. With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, and Batman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network!
