Ok so, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Gwen his true love? Peter only ended up with MJ cause Gwen was unintentionally killed by his webbing after she was thrown from the Brooklyn Bridge by the GG.

I was thinking that he prob would have ended up with Gwen in the long run had it not been for her untimely death.

Peter and MJs relationship was a tumbling mess. They worked together in many ways but she did turn him down on his proposal because she didn't want to be trapped to one man...a party girl for sure. They eventually married but also divorced.

IMO, Gwen was a better match for Peter.

The way I've heard it was that Gwen was supposed to be Peter's one true love, but she was killed off when Stan Lee (I think it was him) went on holiday or something like that.

Though saying that it's been MJ and Peter for a few decades now and most people aren't even aware of Gwen Stacy that it feels weird to try and play that angle in a new film. Still, it's not like people aren't going to go to the movie because of that.

It is absolutely possible for someone to love more than one person in their lifetime but Gwen and Peter had way more in common than MJ and Peter. That's not to say she is second best...just different.

Well I wouldn't call it an injustice to have her in the movies. Some would argue that no inclusion would be an injustice, as if they were trying to erase her. Though personally I'll just be happy if she turns up at some point in this new series of films (well if this one is well received).

I don't think it's mandatory for MJ to be in this first one, but it wouldn't be the worst thing.... unless they got some random actress just for a small cameo which then turned into a staring role in future movies only to showcase her lack of talent. lol

why didn't they just have girl playing Gwen in this new movie play Mary Jane in the sequel??

she already had red hair, she has a fiesty comedic personality, she had the look

But instead they dye another actresses hair like Rami did...

I know shes really a blonde but she's known as a redhead

I agree. However, I think they were both "true loves" of Peter. MJ was there for him when Gwen died, they both worked together. I don't think there's anything wrong with saying he loved both women, for different reasons.
