Betty Brant buzzing JJJ.
Pete and Harry's gritty fight scene sans costumes. Sandman gathering himself to walk for the first time. Harry's save of Peter with the pumpkin bomb. "If it's a woman you're calling, then you say: 'You're good woman. I'm good man...'"

I've always considered Spidey 3 the most fun and entertaining of the series, although it alot of people's eyes it's clearly not the best.

"Betty bo banana" I like Brock's crazy first scene in the Daily Bugle
Eddie Brock all the way, I still love his Venom more than most versions out there, only TSSM animated version is better

The Butler was the best thing about SM 3.

The end credits were especially rousing.

Eddie Brock being portrayed as an insecure creeper was a bit better than his initial comic appearance. Sam just needed to develop that a bit more.

For all the dopiest and most rushed moments in the whole movie, the basic things that Spider-Man represents are never betrayed. Unlike other movies.

So Spider-Man is a hero that would let a villain fly away?

The "key to the city" scene is one of my favorite in the entire trilogy. Peter's feeling on top of the world, the 60s Spidey theme being played by the band, Spidey hamming it up for the crowd (including another upside-down kiss) - just a fun scene all around. Then it leads into the first Spidey/Sandman fight which is also a lot of fun.
Those scenes really have a golden-age-Spidey feel to them. Pity the movie starts to unravel not long afterward.. |

The crane accident where Spider-Man saves Gwen is very well shot. The action there is still fantastic.

It's a pretty good scene, but still, even that had some moments taken out of the final cut that it definitely should've kept.

Somehow I feel like they embraced how bad this movie was and made it as awful as possible so at least it would be hilarious. Gotta say i really enjoy this movie more now that I've taken that approach.

I really don't see the problem. The Sandman is more powerful then Spider-Man. If Spider-Man tried to force him then he probably would have gotten his ass kick.

Then why should Spider-Man even bother to combat him in the first place?

Exactly. Why should Peter even bother to be a hero if there's always going to be someone more powerful? Why bother?
Sandman is the villain, simply put. And Spider-Man just let him go. Just forgave him of killing Uncle Ben, and letting him fly away even after escaping prison, robbing multiple banks and probably even killed a few more people along the way(can't fully remember S-M 3). The moral of the story, and the moral of the entire trilogy since it was the last installment was that even if you've done some terrible things, you can get away scotch free if you're forgiven. No, that's a TERRIBLE point.

It has not changed, IMO. It's still a massive disappointment, and a huge step down in quality from the previous two movies.

Same here. This is the experience that taught me not to get over excited with trailers. The movie may end up being terrible.
