Sounds fairly awful. They should've dropped the whole angle of someone being "Taken," and just put the Brian Mills character in a spy mission of some sort.

What they should have done is write a story where Brian must team up with his ex-spy friends to save some political figure's wife and kids who've been taken by some evil guy from their past who they failed to kill.

I dont know why they want to do a semi rehash with the daughter and mother again.

Neeson looks pretty bad ass. The more I think about it, the more I am okay with the plot. Let's face it, it isn't like the plot of the original was great. The dialogue was atrocious, the acting over the top (even Liam Neeson was hamming it up) and the story had more holes than a piece of swiss cheese. As long as the movie features some great action and Liam Neeson kicking ass and rampaging through an army of villains, I will be okay with it.

I like the sound of this plot. I'm glad it's not a rehash of the first. HIm and his wife being taken is a very cool sequel idea to the first.

And it can be better. Because the first film wasn't even that good.

Seriously, the 1st movie didn't have a great plot, just great action, Neeson and good pacing. When they announced Taken 2 I was almost 100% certain that they'd do the same plot. Glad to see they didn't. Pics are great.

I got to be honest, the story sounds pretty stupid. I mean the first movie wasn't heavy on plot but it worked for what it was. Taking his daughter and ex-wife to Istanbul sounds stupid not only that working security for those sheiks after seeing what they were involved in and what they did to young women. Sounds dumb as bricks.

Honestly, it isn't as if the first movie is high art. It was an action packed thrill ride that with any actor other than Liam Neeson (and maybe Bruce Campbell) would've been terrible. As long as Neeson kicks the ass of everyone within a ten mile radius, I'll be happy.
