GREEN LANTERN NEW GUARDIANS #2 $2.99
JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #2 $2.99
ANNIHILATORS EARTHFALL #2 (OF 4) $3.99
DAREDEVIL #5 $2.99
WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #1 XREGG $3.99

Maybe
ASTONISHING X-MEN #43 $3.99
DAKEN DARK WOLVERINE #16 $2.99
NEW MUTANTS #32 FEAR $2.99
SPIDER-ISLAND DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG FU #3 (OF 3) SPI $2.99

I'm getting New Guardians and Justice League Dark hoping that they're better than their first issues. I'll likely give each title 3 or 4 issues total before cutting them if I don't like them. We'll see. The rest of the definates I'm excited about.

As for the maybes, Astonishing is only a maybe if it's the stand alone issue dealing with Emma and Danger, following up on a loose plot thread from Whedon's run. I've dropped Daken but plan on getting the issues with the Runaways, so if that starts here then I'll get it. Otherwise, no. New Mutants has been pretty bad since DnA came on but I want to stick through the Blink arc at least. I haven't decided if I'm going to finish this arc though. It's not been good at all. Deadly Hands of Kung Fu I buy for Iron Fist. The first issue was good due to his heavy involvement but his scarce roll in the second issue suffered for me. I'll skim this last issue to see how involved he is before buying it.

The last item is a handbook, which is vaguely titled which ensures few shops will actually get it, making it a pain to order. The first two weeks of October were/are light, and this is why - wallet buster! 9 items from Marvel, seriously?

Talked to a comic shop owner, who says while he's still selling out of the second prints of DC's #1 issues, some of the second issues he just can't get rid of. Red Lanterns was one of them.

On another note, I find I'm just so far behind on my reading; and, it's just building up each week. Having some comics come out twice a month is just killing me.

Just wanted to give a quick heads up:
Next Weds., Oct.26th is a BIG day on Spider-Island.

It'll have the Spider-Island wrap ups for:
CLOAK & DAGGER
DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG-FU
and SPIDER-GIRL

It'll also feature a key Spider-Island issue for VENOM...

...and the climactic battle of Spider-Island in ASM #672!

If you're reading multiple Spider-Island titles, quick word of advice, since ASM #672 is the big finale, you should probably read that issue last.

ESPECIALLY if you're reading VENOM.
Please read VENOM #8 before ASM #672.
In fact, when previews for next week's ASM #672 come out, you should probably avoid reading it, as it MIGHT spoil some of the events of VENOM #8.

Just giving you a heads up.
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the heads up, Dan. I'm not getting Spider-Man anymore but it always bugs me when crossover events come out without any indication of the read order. I'm sure the others who are buying Spider-Island (most everyone else) will appreciate it greatly

So... do you have a weekly buy list?

This was one of my favorite DC books of the whole New 52. The writers took their already great Jonah Hex concept and gave it a new Gotham twist. HUGE recommend to everyone. It's a higher price than most DC books; but, well worth it.

Different strokes, I guess. This was one of my least favorite. Last time I really enjoyed a Flash storyline was before Johns came back on the book.

I very much agree! It might not be my favorite; but, some of the most fun Captain America stories I've read for quite some time. It has that Thor: The Mighty Avenger feel to it. Fantastic book!

I agree again. I think the problem is that done-in-one books make it easier nowadays for people to feel they can come and go as they please. You almost need that hook to draw people back every issue. It's a sad state for the comic industry, I guess.

I'm morThompson.e excited about the other Spider-Island titles. I just can't get behind Flash as Venom. Doesn't work for me in the slightest. As some might feel Peter is best with MJ and Carly doesn't belong, I feel the same about Eddie Brock as opposed to Flash

That's neat to hear. I like the new direction; and, while I was first a bit hesitant about a new Wolverine title, after reading Schism, I'm totally behind it. I hope we get nice, oppossing teams.

I'm still frustrated at the splitting of the X-Men (oh yay... more turmoil between heros ) but I can honestly say I'm excited for Wolverine & the X-Men. I like the heroes on his side and most of the students who went with him. I'm really hoping Bachalo brings his A-Game (aka... Generation X style) because I love Bachalo on his A-Game and hate him all the other times.

Heh, I would like to point out that Dan Slott does not buy Amazing Spider-Man

Sorry, that just tickled me.
