And thats all for now.
I'll continue to edit and refine and add a little more colour either later today or tomorrow.

Y'know I just re read the parts about the end/final battle of the Clone Saga...and I noticed a glaring mistake on Glenn's part. He keeps saying how both Peter and Ben's spider senses are nullified, yet Ben used his spider sense to locate the hidden pumpkin bombs. Glenn didn't seem to notice he contradicted himself and missed that plot hole...

Ben was never hit with the Spider-Sense Deadening Gas, only Peter was.

According to Glenn, both were:

Quote:
(and as it SHOULD have been made clearer in the actual story), both Peter and Ben's spider-senses had been temporarily nullified,
Edit: That was from when Glenn was talking about how fans complained about how Ben died and how he didn't need to jump in front of the glider

And here is more text from that same post:

Quote:
[ GLENN'S COMMENTS : It should be pointed out here that the reason why Peter's spider-sense didn't warn him about Dr. Folsome and the injection is because his spider-sense had been temporarily nullified by the mysterious gas that Stromm used on Peter and Ben during the battle in AMAZING #418. (This is also the reason why Norman was able to sneak up behind Ben and render him unconscious at the end of that same issue.) Looking back, this plot point should have been made much clearer in the actual "Revelations" story line. As written, it was handled far too subtly and was easy to miss. ]
Quote:
Once the innocents are free and clear, Ben uses his spider-sense to find and gather up the bombs to take them to the roof. Flash comes back and tells Reilly not to try and be a hero, but goes to pick up a bomb. Ben pushes Flash out of the way as the bomb explodes, taking most of the force of the explosion that knocks Flash unconscious.
He said numerous times that Ben's was nullified to and he even used it as an excuse as to how Norman snuck up on Ben.

Just went back to Revelation Part 3 - Amazing Spider-Man #418...
Ben did get hit with the Gas.
I thought it happened only to Peter.

I've always wondered if Ben would still be around today if DeFalco had remained in charge. Hard to believe Marvel wouldn't have killed one of them off in some event.

That's a yes.
The recent Mini-Series, Spider-Man: Clone Saga proves it.

Yep. In this instance, that is one retcon that I would actually get behind. That mini cleaned up a lot of junk and showed us just how good the 90s Clone saga could have been without editorial messing with it...
