if anyone is confused, i havent played for like 3 weeks i stopped my sub when i heard it was going f2p. so i guess not much has changed, i did all the gl stuff. here is a tip

it doesn't matter if you choose pve or pvp when you make your character. you can go to the watchtower(hero)/hall of doom(villain) side and use the phase shifter. it will change you from either pvp or pve to the other one. so if you want to level up hassle free go pve till you get bored then use the phase shifter and go pvp to fight people in the world.

so if some of you guys want to join each others league and have characters already no need to re roll just use the phase shifter and find each other.

also if you are looking for the gl content go to the in game shopping cart icon on your UI. it opens the marketplace and you get your gl content from there.

hope this helps.

And what is ninja looting?
Ninja looting is when you've reached level 30 and participate in DUO's or raids (need to be geared with dominance for those) and where you team up with some people who refuse to think about the people they're playing with. An example of this is say a fire tank is playing with a controller and is rolling "Need" instead of "Pass" on Controller items.

It's a heavy complaint when you're reading the chat log in the Watchtower. It's bothersome especially when you need a specific item to update your stats and someone else takes it when they don't even need it. They only time they or you CAN take it is when you're not playing with someone who's role is present. That's a good way to build up cash to

I heard to learn all this when first started playing back in March. I've been screwed over many times. Those who do so get an e-mail from me if they bail the group quickly.

As of late a lot of ice villains have been gravitating to the staff due to it's reflect. It can do crazy damage. The other night I was dueling with someone and after he used it I was already on half life. And I have partial T3 gear on. It was brutal.

The thing is we don't want to use our Disc anymore. So to do such a long install & download again & it possibly taking up even more HD space is annoying

If you don't want to use the disc then just uninstall the original game data and re-download from the store.

What background is that Nathan?

Pretty neat, do we get legit Green Lantern costumes? That'd be kind of cool...

Oh, made a new villain who I will roll due to my main hero being at max level... T Wrex...

I need to get decent gear for my lvl 30 hero.. I just have basic stuff... I need people to do instances with and whatnot.

I don't really know. At the beginning, you're stuck with the standard character creator. I have no idea if you can earn specific Green Lantern Gear, like you can earn Batman and Superman Gear. You also don't get to wear the Green Lantern Symbol, because you're not a full fledged Lantern.

Do you start on Oa? I created a light powered villain but it was the same beginning as any other villain.

Luckily it saves what you have downloaded so far. That way you can turn off the PS3 and get back to it whenever.
Tell me about it. A few hours and only at 56%

nice, glad you got it working. i took lots of screencaps when i made my gl, just need to transfer them from my ps3.

the worst part is screen caps were implemented so late on the ps3. i already ran all the stuff with my league way back, but after the psn blackout alot of them left the game. so now all i have are memories, and some phone pics, lol.

Wouldn't doing that also delete current game saves & the game knowing that I have been playing the game since launch etc ?

No, on the PS3 Game Data is separate from your saves. Game Data consists of all those mandatory installs and all your DLC files, your save files are stored with your saved games.

Nope, no Oa start. I was also disappointed to see that you couldn't choose any of the Lanterns as Mentors.

I think it took me a total of about 5 hours to download. It actually wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Now I see an option for PvE or PvP. Whats better?

So, anyone up for a Hype League, now that it's free to play and everyone can get it? But I already have to warn you, as much as I'd love it to be able to be on all the time, my work schedule ****ing sucks. I'm glad If I can squeeze in solid 1-2 hours of gaming a day. And my shifts change weekly. Also, I live in Berlin. So there's the timezone thing as well.

Definitely PVE when you're first starting out, plus you'll find some decent activity with some people who also require help. In PVP villains know where heroes start off because they themselves were heroes once, which results in countless ganking. So really it's PVE when you're a beginner and PVP when you're fully geared.

Also was there any truth to that Flash DLC or is it still a work in progress?

Recreated my character on the US Server, just in case. So, what type of character is everyone playing?

My three heroes are:

The Venator: My main character -(DPS/Controller, weapons are bow, dual wield and dual pistol.)

The Nightrunner: (Controller/Gadgets/Martial Arts)

Psy Knight: (Mental/Controller)

Feel free to add them up but I won't be online for quite some time due to having my hands full with Arkham City.

Since I'm able to play as the character I've always wanted, I have to say this game has gotten a lot more fun.
