This isn't new. He has been the the highest grossing actor for years. And those numbers for Thor, Iron Man 2 and Jurassic Park must be American box office only. But it isn't weird considering the franchises he's involved with. Star Wars, Marvel, Jurassic Park and a plethora of others.

I like how flexible he can be playing a good guy or a bad guy in a movie.

Is Harrison Ford number two? Nah, it's probably one of the Harry Potter kids, right?

He's 63?! I thought he was 40 ish!
But in terms of his box office pull, it's probably due to Pulp Fiction, Star Wars prequels, and Marvel Movies.

I'm certainly happy for him. It's been a blessing for me to see his career. Mace Windu is my favorite Star Wars character.
Also, if you have never had the occasion to see the lesser-known "Caveman's Valentine", do it.

Years ago Harrison Ford was the title holder. He might be more instrumental in the grosses of those movies in that he was often the star or co- star of his movies. S.Jackson was often a cameo or small part guy.

It may be his best role but Pulp Fiction didn't make any serious money at the box office.

What I dig about Jackson is how he's able to be versatile without really being versatile, you know? He plays a variation of himself in a lot of flicks, but no one ever really *****es about it, because it works. I think his role as Mace Windu was what really made me take notice, mostly due to the different look he sported.

Samuel L. Jackson is a national treasure. He deserves this spot.

Yeah, turns out it was that other early 90's Spike Lee movie that I'll never watch.

There seems to be a lot of movies where Jackson shows up and is killed soon after.

We need to have a thread where we each discuss our favorite SLJ kill ever. Though not the top choice, his death in Deep Blue Sea is pretty high up there.

The number of movies he's in is ridiculous. Its like he's the only one with more than 24 hour days.
