What new Batman show? The one that comes after the Brave and the Bold? Or it is a movie tie-in deal like Transformers Prime was for TF3

I just saw this show called "In Bruges" with Colin Farrel and I loved it. I'm intereseted in this Dark Comedy drama.

Ehhhh. I was never as put off by Brave and the Bold as I am by that.

I'm never put off by different types on animation. In fact I'm sure that the animation will eventually grow on me.

It's just the "gun-totting" Alfred Pennyworth and female ninja sidekick that has me going

it'll be ok. they're avoiding the traditional batman rogues gallery in favor of some of the newer villains just to offer something different. and it's cg, so that could go either way, but i tend to like cg shows.

...why? alfred regularly packs a shotgun or a rifle and it's basically the same katana from brave and the bold. i don't understand the pre-hate for this show (other than the lack of robin, joker, etc. all of whom may show up later.)

Joker and Penguin will both appear, it's just that they want to put focus on lesser known villains so they can market and make toys out of it, such as Professor Pyg.

Well, I'm not completely against the idea but it remains to be seen if the execution is done well.

Any word on the voice cast?

In Bruges is a fab movie one of my favourites

I love the two leads so much in that film they are just so funny together

But Alfred with guns bothers me. I know he's used them for self defence but it seems like Alfred will be joining Bruce in his crime fighting using guns and Bruce usually isn't okay with his allies using them

The art looks crummy. We don't know what the animation (the actual movement of the characters) looks like.

I don't like when people mix those up. For example, Batman: The Animation Series had better and more detailed artwork than The New Batman Adventures, but The New Batman Adventures had smoother and more consistent animation due to its simpler art style.

Yeah, that's part of why I'm fully ready to hate this new show. Every goddamn show is a Batman show. Other than this, we've got the GL show, which I doubt I'll watch because it's Hal-centric, and we've got Young Justice, which is mediocre at best. Meanwhile, Marvel's got Avengers and even some of their anime shows are pretty good. It's a weird reversal of the previous decade, where DC was easily killing Marvel in animation.
