No but that's why its a technicality. Proper protocol wasn't followed. So next time, it's better to have a urine sample sitting in the backroom of a Fedex all weekend. It should be noted, the sample was intact and all the tamper seals were untouched.

I was pretty much alluding that I think Braun is guilty.

But he is, because he failed the test. This isn't a court of law situation. He failed a test and got off because an arbitrator decided that proper protocol wasn't followed. Every expert with knowledge of the situation has said the sample wasn't tampered with and was still viable. So yeah, he's guilty. The fact the Braun decided to smear the reputation of the guy who handled his sample and not go the false positive route or something else says a lot about that.

I agree. The more I read about this story, but more I'm convinced that the arbitrator was wrong. There's no way that the sample was tampered with, and the amount of synthetic hormone (which was found to be 5 times the normal level) will not increase by itself; in fact, an expert said it will actually decrease over time. Braun should've been suspended 50 games and maybe even have his MVP award taken away.

Maury Brown at the Biz of Baseball says while we know MLB will announce expanded Wild Card Playoff games today, we don’t know which network will air them.

That "Wild Card" match-up should be a best of 3, not a one game playoff. Shorten the season by 5-6 games if you have to.

Not much different from any other "city" ballpark like NYY, SF, Detroit, CHC, Boston, etc. Counting only the stadium owned lots "on site" spaces is stupid as there's a ton of other privately owned garages/lots where you can park in the area.

Are you talking about Miami? Because there isn't. There might be some lots and garages but there's not in the immediate area. The area surrounding the ballpark is largely residential.

I've been to UM games at the old Orange Bowl (my sister is an alum and my folks now live in Ft. Lauderdale), there were quite a few lots we parked in that were a short walk away.

except most of those venues typically have great public transportation.

i know for one, a large portion of visitors to at&t park take public transportation every game.
