Welp, personally the Rangers are not my favorite MLB ballclub, they're my 2nd favorite second only to my SF Giants. Getting back in topic, anyway you slice it, dice it, or dissect it, a wins a win, & the fact of the matter is the Rangers creamed the Tiggers, at home no less.

It'd be easier to blame it all on Bobby V. and fire him to appease the fan base than keeping him around. He won't last the season as the manager imo.
If they were 10-4 instead of 4-10, the fans would adore him. Red Sox fans watched Francona lead Boston to 2 WS titles. They obviously are gonna take it out on Valentine for the poor start. Yankee fans did the same with Girardi when he failed to lead them to the postseason for the first time since 1993. They won the WS the following year. The Red Sox will eventually get kick started. It's only a matter of time.

Red Sox need to just start pitching consistently, they're top arms aren't getting it done. Also Valentine does not help his situation, you don't tip your cap when you hear boos. He needs to stop being so smug and stop putting his foot in his mouth.

2 of their starting pitchers are out. But there bullpen is horrible and is missing Bard. I don't think Valentine even wanted Bard in the starting lineup.

You mean Dice-K and Miller? It doesn't really matter when their top arms Lester/Beckett/Buchholz are so inconsistent.

The Tigers were an extra inning blown save away from splitting the series. I guess if that denotes getting "creamed" in your mind, then yes, we got creamed.

I'm well aware of what constitutes a win, only reason I brought up the bullpen was the Rangers fans acting like they were going to feast on our starters before the series started, which outside of Porcello, didnt happen.

One could argue that Wilk in the first game got hit pretty well too. 21 batters faced with 11 reaching.

Technically I only said we would feast on the tail end of your rotation. But now we're just splitting hairs.

Yu had a great night for us tonight. Kuroda did great as well, he just didn't get the run support. Yu even pitched out of the bases loaded. His movement is looking beastly.

Anywho. Rubber match tomorrow. Go Rangers.

Michael Kay rips selfish Ranger fans a new one

I love Kay's reaction. Those people were being jerks. Clearly the ball was meant for the kid (but deflected by the people in front of him jumping for it). They should've given the kid the ball. Kudos to Kay.

*waits for the obligatory jerk to say "they taught that whiny brat a valuable lesson!"*

I was watching when that happened. A couple of jerks. Fortunately, someone else gave the kid a ball.

Since when are you required to give balls to kids because they're crying?

And there it is.

No one said that they're required. But it is still the decent thing to do.

Exactly. No one "has to", but it's just a nice thing to do.

I'd love to catch a foul ball at a game, but it's between me and a preschooler, I'm giving it to the preschooler. I'll be happy, the kid will be happy, it's all good.

An entire section of the Yankee Stadium bleachers got Robinson Cano to throw a ball to my friend's son at batting practice once.

There is a difference between a kid crying and throwing a tantrum. This kid seemed to just be crying so I probably would have given him one as well. But if he were having a tantrum (crying, screaming, stamping his feet), he wouldn't deserve it.

Looking back at the first month, I'm really glad I took Kemp ahead of Pujols as the first pick in one of my fantasy teams, even though he was ranked 2nd behind Pujols.

Its so fun to watch Bryce Harper throw. The Nationals have two cannons in the outfield with him and Ankiel.
