Don't do what they did in that again.

I think they should slow down on cliches. I still think that, mistakes aside, the movie was a lot of fun, it entertained, and that's the primary goal of a movie. You can go deeper after that, but I got what I wanted.

I don't get the hate for the first movie. I really enjoyed it. Perhaps b/c I wasn't a huge fan of the cartoon so I don't get what they "messed up". I enjoyed it more than the last 2/3 of the Transformers franchise, that's for sure

Stick large transforming robots in the film and the audience will forgive all.

I was never a big Joe's fan, but I felt the movie made a lot of wrong decision. Mostly just as a movie, but I read a couple of interviews in the lead up to the movie and I felt it didn't live up to what they were selling it as.

Though as far as learning anything I would hold my breath for anything other than them already dropping Marlon Wayans from this one.

-GI Joe is probably going to come off cheesy in any form...so dont piss off the fans and change around characters unecc.

-No robot suits

-more realistic effects

-do snake-eyes and storm shadow right

Channing Tatum and Maron Wayans. Those were the BIGGEST mistakes from that movie.

If the new trailer is any indication, it looks like this movie has pretty much done away with everything that made the first one bad, and retained and expanded on everything that was good:

-More Snake Eyes, Jinx, Storm Shadow and ninjas. 'Cause ninjas are awesome.

-The tone of the movie seems more in line with the cartoon. Still a little over the top, but more grounded in reality.

-Pretty much ditching the bland Channing Tatum as Duke, and bringing in the hardcore Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Roadblock. A much better choice, and more believable as a leader of an elite fighting force.

-No over relying on CGI and using more practical effects and stunts.

-Seems like the action scenes will be really good in this movie, as well.

-Giving Cobra Commander his traditional look from the cartoon.

-Bruce Willis as the original GI Joe himself, Joe Coulton.

-Carrying over the "Zartan as President of the U.S." plot to this film. One of the only good things about the last film.

I like Duke and Marlon Waynes but some scenes didn't feel right.

Baroness being a mind controlled servent was a mistake

Snake eye, Cobra Commander and Desto's costume were not good in the first one and look like they corrected that

Rise of Cobra did not feel much like the rise of a superterrorist orginization or the origin of G.I. Joes did not feel did not feel right either

CGI was unbelievable and robot suit wasn't good glad they took it

more of a military/action movie

better action scenes

bringing in Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis is a good choice

making the G.I. Joe members on the run is a good idea and killing most of them was kind of a good choice but I liked Scarlet, Ripchord, and Breaker but I can live with the choices

So true.
this guy is one of the worst actors i've seen, I can't take him seriously at all, he's specially bad at the dialogue its like he's reading of the script with no emotion.

Thankgod for the rock the savior of this franchise

Actually thought the first movie turned out quite well, given what they were basing it on (a silly 80's cartoon).

I think making a live action G.I.Joe movie will never get done right, you can either make it sort of militaristic dealing with real life issues like the terrorist hijacking in The Delta Force or make it silly camp like Van Damme's Street Fighter movie.

Some mistakes from the first movie were:
- Channing Tatum (whoops looks like the producers fumbled again in the sequel)
- Cobra Commander not having his traditional look
- Baroness and Duke being lovers in the past (wha..?)
- we get Breaker and Heavy Duty instead of the more popular Joes like Flint, Shipwreck, Beach Head
- stupid power ranger suits

Yeah, the whole Baroness plot was just such a drag on the first movie. They should've left it out completely and just had her another regular member of Cobra. Talk about a colossal waste.

Marlon Wayans sucked, too, as did those stupid suits. Nor did I care about the other Joe's. Come to think of it, the only Joe's I liked from that movie were General Hawk, Scarlet, and Snake Eyes. The rest sucked, Duke included, which is a shame. They really should've just recast Duke instead of bringing Channing Tatum back.

Stay away from black costumes: it's so early 2000's.
