Looks Good I was always a fan of the 1st movie due to Hit Girl obviously so I will be checking this out. And Damn I am a big fan of Jim Carrey shame he hasn't done much recently but he looks and sounds totally diffrent in this

I'm really surprised! The comic had a fine story, but the execution was godawful, so i'm glad they're changing it alot and making it better than the source material. (Like the first one.) August, here we come.

Im curious if they're gonna go with the book's approach of not bringing Hit-Girl into it until the 3rd act. Personally, I thought that worked pretty well, but if they go that route I have a feeling a lot of the audience will be very pissed off.

I'd say Aaron looking ripped in this really threw me for a loop lol. It just doesn't seem in line with the character being that ripped. That would just be my only complaint is it just seemed... off... with how he's presented in the comics and previous film.

I'd say its right in line with his character. He wants to be a hero badly and now he has someone to train him to be one. The comics are awful so thankfully they're not really faithful to them

My only problem with Aaron is that he has a new voice.

I enjoyed it. Didn't hit me like the first KA redband did though. Looks like a good watch and I'm happy to see these characters on the screen one more time. Jim's voice is great, looking forward to seeing him in this.
I'm happy to see Hit-Girl grown up but at the same time sad not to see the little short young girl on there dropping words that shouldn't be said. Her voice is different too, but we knew it would be. Does anyone think Dave's voice will be used in this movie like it was the first one? I really liked his voiceover work from the first one, or whatever you would call it. |

Looks good to me. I am a big fan of the first one. I haven't read all of Kick-Ass 2 or any of Hit-Girl. Maybe I will pick up trades some time soon.

From the trailer I can discern that Hit-Girl is still hilarious. All of her one-liners still have the vicious shock of profanity and hilarity, even the last one which is from the book.
The rest of it? I will wait and see. I never liked Carrey like I did Cage, who while in bad movies has always had an amusing persona, and I think he again may be trying too hard given the last line. Either way, it looks different from Vaughn's style, which is understandable with a new director. I look forward to it, but I am still cautious.

I find the trailer quite underwhelming. The visual flair and tounge-in-cheek charm of the first movie is almost nowhere to be found. Sure; Moretz, Mintz Plasse and Carrey all seem to chew some nice scenery, but that is also all I take with me.

First part of the movie is adapting the Hit-Girl miniseries which takes place before Kick-Ass 2. So there is definitely gonna be some Hit-Girl before the 3rd act.

He has always been ripped.
Matthew Vaughn told Johnson to stop going to the gym and working out for the first Kick Ass movie. The movie does lack some visual flair. You can tell its a first time directors film. Looks good though regardless. Benedict Wong getting his fruit and veg bitten off by a dog ![]() Still Wong is probably happy he isn't playing another Asian dude who dies in science fiction movies (Sunshine, Prometheus, Moon).

This actually looks better than the first. It's largely due to my admiration of Jim Carrey. Excellent impressionist and great voice.

Carrey doesn't always go the goofy route, he can vanish into a role if need be.

I was honestly expecting him to have an Ace Ventura style voice/line delivery. I'm beyond ecstatic that he's taking it in such a fresh direction.

It feels like one of his old In Living Color characters.
