I wonder if they'll really take this as a wake up call, or if they just keep blaming the fans again. People always say, "Talk with your money.". Well, we did. Let's see now what happens.

I'd have bought some of the characters if they were DLC, like Vergil or Iron Fist. As a whole, I'm not interested.

Ha, just found out that the pro that I keep running into online and keep managing to beat, just got 5th place at the first UMVC major. In vanilla I played him a few times with Morrigan at anchor and was pissing him off with her fireball assist, even though it's a super crappy one. He was complaining about how cheap it was, of all things (He was running Wesker, Magneto, and I believe Dante. Ran into him last week in a ranked match and beat him pretty soundly I think with my Hawkeye anchor team. We each took out two of each others characters with Wesker (though his was with Dark Wesker), and then I got his Wesker with Spencer. I know I'm likely getting pretty lucky every time I play him, but it was still pretty fun to see that someone I've been able to beat quite a bit placed so high.

The more I play the Spencer Wesker matchup in either direction, but more I'm convinced Spencer is a pretty decent Wesker counter, especially now that you can't bionic arm on reaction.

Capcom, you'll get no sympathy for me. *&^(ers.

Also, the REAL Doom.
I'm not really sure that video is a joke at capcom's expense, Max is pretty much working for them at this point.

As someone who doesn't like team fighters (Which is why I won't be buying SFxT and will be going solo in Skullgirls) I would've bought UMvC3 if they had given Spidey a new move. But they didn't, so I didn't.

But the FF and Scarlet costume were pretty damn enticing.

And with the patch already announced, they've got a second chance to get my money. Zero chance they'll actually give me what I want though.

They could have released a steady stream of costume DLC for the original and people would have bought it. Instead they put out one pack and saved all of it for UMVC3, but the userbase is smaller and as a result there's less people to buy the DLC
id agree... except for the fact capcom is going to see this as "well... looks like there's not a big enough fanbase... we might as well wait another 10 years for MvC4

Nah, I don't think so, because MvC3 sold really well.
It's their bs move that sold poorly because it is a bs move.

So are there any new cinematics (other than the new intro) and endings (of the returning roster) in this?

IIRC Ryu, Dante, and Hsien-Ko got new endings. That's about it.

These sales are apparently only for Europe & Japan. It got into the top 10 in Japan, if it can do it there (where the series isn't even that popular), then it probably did decent here in the US.

Also on a side-note, Rocky easily has the best title in UMvC3. If you get his ending you receive a title that says "Ranger Who Rescues". *whistles theme songs to one of Disney's best shows ever*

Same I love just about every theme in the game. The only ones I don't really like are Trish's, Storm's & C. Viper's. MODOK's is my favorite....so catchy.

Hey, I was in Maximillian's latest online warrior! During his game of the week or comeback of the week or something, he featured a crazy Viewtiful Joe making a comeback to beat the Vergil of Europe's top ranked XBL player, and you can hear me cheering on Joe because I was in the lobby. Me, the Joe Player, and that high ranked dude were all going back and forth, but that Joe was crazy.

I also have a friend who is a pretty good Joe player. It'd be really awesome if the little dude becomes top tier one day! Now if only Capcom would release another Joe game, perhaps as a XBLA/PSN game?

Did anyone ever get the feeling that Elena, the blue eyed chick from Africa with white hair from SF was inspired by Storm? She even came from East Africa, which is where Storm was from (Kenya). Capcom should have put her in UMvC3 so we could have seen the inevitable matchup between them. Im sure the quotes would be fun. Elena could be her long lost sister/cousin

I have a feeling Elena will be in sf x tekken, they said they are trying to put in street fighters that haven't been in a game for a while

She should have been in SSF4 or even SSF4AE along with a different character, instead of just putting in another version of Ryu and Akuma. How can you have a Africa stage, but not put in the character who's from Africa?

Yeah, that's one reason I was in no rush to buy Arcade Edition. I'm not paying that money for Yin, Yang, and two other shotos.

I agree with Q and Elena, but Alex is a must add!

Although given his popularity among the pros, Urien should be a shoe-in.

Ugh, such an uneven but ultimately frustrating night of playing last night. Nothing more bummer inducing than starting off playing against some guys you consider high level, and winning well, then later in the night playing against some guys you considered yourself better than in the past only to find out they've been leveling up quick putting a lot of work into the game and are now generally more advanced than you.

This game is either pissing you off, or just being depressing, yet it's so good I can't stop playing.

It actually reminds me a lot of when I started playing poker back in college. A pretty long grinding process of playing matches, reading about strategy, practicing, learning to make the right decisions based on ambiguous percentages and probabilities. There are a ton of ups and downs in regards to good wins and bad beats, and the sobering feeling of being simply outplayed by someone that you thought you should be better than, only to find out you've been surpassed by someone you took lightly in the last version of the game because they've leveled up . That's the worst. "What the ****? He never could beat me in regular Marvel, what the hell is going on????"

I've been doing good with Nova & Haggar, now I just need to get better with Frank & Hawkeye.

I have a weird thing with Final Fight characters in fighting games. Haggar's my best in MvC, while Cody's my best in SF. I should go back to SSF4 & try out Guy.

Funny, i was just thinking about the same thing couple days ago. I stopped playing online poker about a year ago and now i'm getting more and more interested in fighting games. They really are similar, the basics are simple but you can spend hours and hours practicing and learning strategy. Too bad i haven't got the time lately.
