The more I hear people, news articles, theater promotions, etc. state "The Dark Knight trilogy" the more I wish Batman Begins had a different title...

No. The reason the titles for the films only appear at the end is because it isn't until then that Bruce/Batman earn those titles. Batman officially begins at the end of the first film with the installation of the bat-signal, leading to the title card and he does not become "the dark knight" as the second film defines it until the very end. The Dark Knight Rises will be the same way. Each title in the sequence builds on each other in a similar way that the narratives do. They tell a story in and of themselves.

I have thought the same. But I think BB will be considered the different one. Ok, by me.

It's just a title. As they say what's in a name?

I'd say it is.
The movie still resonates with me since seeing it a few days after it was officially released on DVD back in '05. I actually think I appreciate it even more since seeing TDK and re-watching BB after it. |

I think Captain America was the worst of the bunch. Chris Evans did an alright job, but he's not the Captain America envisioned. They also screwed up Bucky's origins. In a lot of ways, Bucky should have been like Robin.

As far as comic book movies go, I can agree that it's the best origin film. But jeez, some of you guys are forgetting about the first X-Men. It's a friggin classic.

Batman Begins is not only the best superhero origin story, it set the storytelling style to which numerous films, both inside and outside of the genre, have been trying to emulate for the better part of 8 years now.
