Anyone think they'll end up bringing back the Master for Smith's run?
I'd like to see them go back to an older more distinguished actor for his character if they did.

I would imagine that he'd HAVE to be involved SOMEHOW within the 50th anniversary storylines... he's just as important and critical to the Doctor as the Daleks are... and I ALWAYS thought that Sir Derek Jacoby should have stayed on a bit longer as the Master... that's about as older and distinguished as you can get... I never forgot his "I AM THE MASTER!" line... the way he said it was just so chilling...

I've never cosplayed before, but I've decided that if I ever do, it's going to be as either The Brigadier or Harry. Every guy dresses up as a Doctor, but nobody ever remembers the male companions.

Go as Adric. You'll get lots of hate but the ones who love you will love you forever!

I wouldn't wish Adric cosplay on my worst enemy. I'd sooner dress as Turlough, if coloring my hair red and wearing a prep school uniform didn't instead make me look like Dennis Rodman going to court.

Katarina died for my sins. Adric just continued to whine until the last second.
"Adric, get out of there!" "NO! I CAN DO THIS! I'LL SHOW YOU I'M NOT JUST A USELESS KID!" Awww, useless kid died being useless.

A couple of details has been revealed about an upcoming Series 7 episode. David Warner & Liam Cunningham will guest star on a Mark Gatiss-scripted episode. The only other new detail revealed about this episode is that it will be "massive."
http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/gatiss-seri...ting-35388.htm Love Cunningham and Warner (who is no stranger to the Doctor Who franchise) is a wonderful addition. |

David Warner needs to have a cameo in a Tron sequel if they ever make it.
Liam Cunningham is an underrated actor.

Is it just me, or are they way overusing the Daleks? Especially in the Tennant series. When they show up every season, it ruins their "ominous" returns.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the BBC is leasing them several years at a time. I think the estate of Terry Nation still owns the Daleks, and BBC needs their permission just to use them on Doctor Who.

My thought is that Doctor Who has been around for decades right? So a supere evil and murderous threat like the Daleks constantly coming around and causing so much death for decades, maybe its time to finally do away with them. Its like the Joker. Ever since his first appearence he has killed so many, but because its a comic its easier to let all the years bleed together and forget how much killing he has done. But with a live TV show like Doctor Who its harder. The killings by the Daleks and the massive threats they constantly bring makes me feel that maybe they should have the Doctor finally just kill them. Maybe make a major storyline out of it too, that now he has wiped out completely one species from all reality. Show how he copes with it now, instead of the Daleks alreays returning.
Just watched the one where David Tennent and Rose go to an alternate universe to stop the Cybermen. the Doctor mentions that this happened already in their universe and its happening again in this one on Earth. They meet the alternate version of Rose's parents, Micky, and find out there is no Rose on that world. My question is, does that mean that in that universe there is no Doctor? Or does that mean that there is another Doctor in that universe? And maybe the Timelords are still alive there. He also mentioned that before the Timelords died it used to be easier to travel back and forth. So maybe the Timelords exist outside time and space and are not even part of any universe, ours or an alternate one? I know that Rose and her family end up there and start doing some sort of protection against aliens stuff, but does that mean that nothing major happens in the universe? So that it doesn't require a Doctor? Last edited by Artistsean; 06-29-2012 at 06:19 PM. |
