I'd say a tense seven minutes. The first seven where Joel and Ellie are looking for a ladder isn't quite as exciting.

I detected a southern twang in Joel's voice in the new demo.

If they'd go for something more magic based or something with the more warm, charming touch like their Crash Bandicoot games, we would have the most beautiful game ever made I'm pretty sure of. It would also be a nice change overall from the gunshooting formula.

CBMs I enjoy the most at this moment: 1) The Avengers, 2) The Dark Knight, 3) Iron Man 3, 4) Iron Man, 5) The Amazing Spider-Man. CBMs in the near future I'm most looking forward to at this moment: 2) Thor 2, 3) Man of Steel, 4) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 5) Guardians of the Galaxy (would be higher in the list if it wasn't for how much I hate the film Super from the same director). |

Have you read the script of the game? Was it leaked anywhere that I'm not aware of? Did you play it and know the end of the characters or all of the disasters that has happened in this world?
No. You're just speculating. So far, it doesn't have more hope than the Road, because we don't know many of the details that we'd require to know something like that for sure.

And how can we say that animals aren't infected? Or the plantations?
Once again, we don't know the details. Let's wait for the game, play it, then discuss about it.

I dont know I guess because the the girl is from a quarantine zone and the birds look healthy to me. I am just going to assume that its more survivable till I play the game.

This is one of the games I can't wait to get my hands on.
I graduated a video game design course this year and looking at this game is a reason why I want to be in this industry. The characters and animations all using the game engine is utterly superb.

Yeah, but I already decided to get the game, anyway. So I don't really care.

No, because that's more of the game that remains to be a surprise when I actually play it.

The more that is released might ruin some good elements, alot of games (like films) give far too much away in trailers, that you don't get a good sense of what might be to come.

In The Road, everything is dead. Everything. There are no quarantine zones, no pockets of humanity with any amount of pre-event sane societal structure. There is no sunlight. No warm summer days. Everything is cold, dark, dead and covered in ash and fog. From a psychological standpoint, one of those situations would breed more "hope" than the other. But just because there might be room for more hope in a person's mind doesn't mean the situation is any less dire, nor the risk any less great. In fact, a person having hope is even more dramatic here, since there is something left to lose. Quote:
