First comic title!
http://www.kryptonsite.com/smallvillespoilers.htm Episode #11-1: "Guardian" Keeping with the tradition of one-word titles... the first new Smallville story in nearly a year will be "Guardian." Will it involve the character from Jack Kirby's comics? Or is it referring to the new guardian of Metropolis, the Man of Steel named Superman? Guess we'll be finding out soon! Bryan Q. Miller is doing the writing. This is like going back in time.

I'm glad the 11th season is happening in comic form and it may be what the show would look like had it continue. The 11th season cast would be Clark, Lois, Lex, Oliver, Chloe, and General Lane. Bryan Miller would've been the new showrunner. The suit would've been the show's interpretation instead of the SR suit.
Guardian could be two-fold with Clark saving the world as Superman for 6 months or the emergence of Jim Harper Guardian. |

If the show were still on in live action, I guarantee that the first opening sequence before the opening rolls in would have featured Clark making a save as Superman.lol

I would have loved for an animated series to continue it but a comic is nearly as good

I like the title "Guardian", wouldn't have been awesome if they could have gotten Tom, Erica, Michael and the rest of the cast to do an audio recording just for the season Premiere comic ?
BTW Superman looks totally badass in this clip in his traditional costume with a sheer presence of Power (Tim Daly is IMO the quintessential voice of the Man of Steel much like Kevin Conroy is the definitive voice of The Dark Knight) VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

I hope somewhere down the road, they resolve the Super Lana situation and turn her back into a normal human. As well as being some resolution to her relationship with Clark.

Caught the news of the comic, glad to first hear more news on the comic. Should be fun to see where things go. Cant wait, also glad it is being set just after planet save from darkseid. So folks will probably be happy there. I hate though they dropped the trunks too in this comic.

I'm excited to see it in comic form...I hope it's better then Buffy season 8-9...I think with Buffy it was always so much more about the actors then the characters. But Superman is of course, a comic icon, so I think it will be a better transition.

Ya though one point is maybe the trunkless could just be on covers, like how covers usually are nothing related to what happens within book. That is what i hope for, but know its probably not. I just see it being a pointless change in look for the sv book when trunks are still around in animated superman stuff, the current earth one series and stuff like that.

I really couldn't care less about the trunks. They dropped Batman's trunks in the New 52 too. Nobody is talking about that but evertone's talking about Superman's non-trunks. Seriously, big deal. I want good stories, it really doesn't bother me if he has trunks or not.

batman is different though where we seen in films and what not with not trunks and works with batman. Where as with superman for most it makes the suit look like its incomplete and missing. Plus we dont have a good break like trunks had with all the blue in the suit.

Whatever. I don't care about trunks or non-trunks either way. I guess I understand why people can think the suit doesn't feel complete without it, but to me it's totally irrelevant. Plus it's 2012, how long are superheroes gonna have their underwear on the outside? Come on. I get it, Superman and his look are part of modern culture. But iconic or not, suits need to be tweaked with the times. That's just the way things are.

I can't wait to look at some interiors. Cover art is all fine and well, but the interior art is what really matters, especially since it's by a different artist.

^^ Look at Bryan Miller's run on Batgirl, you're gonna get the idea what the interiors are gonna be like, the artist is the same on Smallville. I've seen some of those issues and I think we're in for a treat.

I made some minor modifications to the cover of Smallville to make it resemble Tom Welling and adjusted the proportions a bit.
