I know I know! But... I F--king hate robots. And Beenox + robots as a main focus scares me.

It's not only the fact that it is robots. They look so generic and uninteresting.

When SD came out, I felt like it was more like Beenox making the basic work for future Spider-Man games. So, while it lacked greatly in gameplay, units etc., I thought Beenox would improve on that alot in the next games to come. But then EoT looks even more generic, boring and unimaginative. And then this trailer airs and is another major disappointment.

I loved Beenox for a while but this is getting tiresome.

I'm only after seeing the trailer for the first time now.
I must say, I am a little disappointed. I wasn't expecting so much... robots.
It really reminds me of the Superman Returns game.
But regardless, it still gave me chills! Especially when the news reporter said "LOOK! IT'S SPIDER-MAN!" I got really excited.
We still have 6 months for Beenox to show us something to wow us. I still believe this game will be awesome and that there will be loads of other parts to the story not involving robots.

i love how wishy washy u guys are....

a small glimpse of a spider slayer from the NYCC trailer and a really cool piece of concept art and u ALL were like "ZOMG SPIDER-SLAYERS!!! COOL I WANNA SEE MOARRRRRRR JIZZZ JIZZ JIZZZ"

we get a trailer that TEASES us just a bit more showing us more of the spider slayers..giving us an idea of what a boss battle is like

and you all go:

I certainly didn't say Rocksteady should make the game...esp considering they make games for DC/WB. Sucker Punch is owned by sony anyway. Maybe they just need to get away from the constraints of the movie license, remember Pandemic were making a TDK game and thankfully pandemic shut down and the game with it. They just need a fresh young studio, with young respectful fans who know how to make a good game, and just make it independant of the movie and the tie ins.

You'd think rocksteady and Arkham would have opened more doors, I mean they legit competed with elder scrolls, zelda and uncharted for GOTY for gods sake. There is absolutely no reason Spidey shouldn't get the same treatment.

Come to think of it, sucker punch would have made an EXCELLENT spidey game.

What did you all expect?

I realize we were hoping for much more than we were given but the fact remains that the game doesn't launch for about 7 more months. There will be many more reveals and trailers etc. in that time.

That being said, I don't like the robots thing either. I really hope there is a lot more to this game than beating down robots or spider slayers and considering this is only the second trailer for this game I'd suspect that Beenox will not want to 'blow thier wad' yet and leave the good stuff for later.

I don't like the graphics. It's probably got more to go in terms of making them look better but I was not impressed at all. I actually thought the tone of the city and the colors used and the way the people looked, really, really reminded me of web of shadows. This is not a good thing.

The presentation of the game looks great. Beenox has never had an issue there. This is their 3rd attempt at a Spidey game and with a 2 year development time frame they'd better blow my socks off. I'm reserving my excitement for this game until I see some genuine gameplay footage.

You really don't pay attention.

A lot of us were complaining that the robot at the end of the teaser was stupid. But a lot of us assumed it was just that ONE robot. Now we find that not only is there a whole bunch, but their origin makes no sense, their design is pitiful, and the announcement trailer had less gameplay than the teaser.

That's why we're mad. Beenox obviously doesn't understand what makes a Spider-Man game fun. I thought they did... Cliche after cliche. No one wants to fight robots. We want to fight villains and thugs and stop crimes.

Whoa dude, let us debate here. They make the game FOR us. I understand thinking its too soon to judge, but come on... We are just expressing disappointment.

It's another gimmick. Another stupid, useless, gimmick that should have never been introduced to begin with.

SD was okay, but dimension hoping was stupid then and it is now. I let it slide because it made the game varied. EoT is and always was crap. I let the time travel thing slide because it created a seemingly interesting story. (which it wasn't) Now we have gigantic robots that make no sense? It better be a small, small, SMALL part of the game, otherwise, I'm not buying this. I've put up with enough lost promises and stupid gimmicks in these games.

It's only the second trailer. We haven't even seen any real gameplay footage yet and we don't know about othe villains or what else may be attached to the story.

Relax bro. It's all good. Just breathe and we'll see what we get in the next coming months. Say what you want about EoT but I love it. I'm very mad. The teaser trailer made it look like Beenox was going to get it right. It looked like Spidey would be free and swinging all over with no holds bared. Now we have freaking robots to fight. I hate robots.

I'm also mad, because this is not only a bad trailer (like one of the worst I've ever seen) but it somehow shows less than the teaser? What the hell is wrong with them?

Quick idea here... think they came out the the robot trailer here because they didn't want anyone who didn't know much about the reboot- or the correlation between the game and movie- to confuse anything they showed as part of the movie? Like maybe they didn't want to get the movie universe out there yet... maybe...?
