Of course the movie is bad. I don't need the critics to tell me that two hacks were not going to make a good film.

The script synopsis, to me, doesn't seem too bad. I think it sounds pretty cool.

And if it ends up being next year's Punisher: War Zone, I'll be happy. Cuz I was highly entertained by that movie.

From what I've read so far, it's not gonna be as awesome and over the top as Punisher Warzone (Sadly) which means it's closer to the original GR which is BAD news.

Also the first semi official review from AICN:

Neveldine/Taylor is an acquired tate, I think, for some movie fans. I think their frenetic shooting style puts a lot of people off, and I understand that. I'm very big on spatial geography in action sequences, and these guys like to put themselves in the middle of everything in their shooting. This movie followed a mind-blowing movie experience at BNAT, so I think it was due to suffer in comparison; that said, I had a hell of a lot of fun with it. It's pulpy, fairly predictable, but Nicolas Cage amps up his Cageness level - maybe to VAMPIRE'S KISS levels, but not BAD LIEUTENANT or "Not the bees!" WICKER MAN levels. He seems to be having a lot of fun with the character, and I enjoyed it for what it was - B-movie pulp, and just all-around goofy. I will say that I wasn't terribly impressed with the 3D, but it's still early.

Not surprised to see the poor early reviews, I have never been a fan of Neveldine/Taylor and the fact that they changed a lot of the mythology and characters from the comics to fit their movie never sat right with me.

Shame, as Ghost Rider deserves so much more than what he has gotten cinematically.

Neveldine and Taylor are not hacks. You might not like their work, but they are not hacks. A hack is someone who does it just for the money. These guys are passionate about what they do and are skilled film makers.

The first Crank movie is one of the best action movies of the 21st century.

That wasn't a bad review it was a slightly positive one and you can't tell if this film is going to be as over the top as Punisher: Warzone from a few early reviews.

I wouldn't say it's positive (Even slightly) though agree that it's too soon to judge / compare it to WarZone. To this day I still don't know if I love that film or hate it!

G.I. Joe 2 trailer is out. MIB III. TDKR is coming this week. GR 2 shouldn't be too far behind

After TDKR trailer, nothing else will matter. Sony had their chance. Now and in this avalanche of trailers, GR2 will be overlooked by almost everyone. Halloween was their best shot and they missed it.

I always thought a Hack was someone with no creative abilities. Who just does it for the money.

And anyone who thinks Mark and Brian are hacks are boring people. Period.

Wait... people actually want this to be Punisher : War Zone??? I was practically cringing throughout the whole movie embarrassed. It was Cat Woman level. GR was leagues better because it was still entertaining and not ridiculously over the top. Hoping this is more toned down and gritty.

Punisher War Zone was one of the most fun movies ever made in the Marvel genre.

It never took itself seriously, and had tons of gore.

To each his own, to me it just felt like it was making fun of how campy comic books can be. Worse than Batman & Robin. It was like a punch in the face.

That's exactly how I feel about Punisher :Warzone. It's like someone skimmed an issue of Punisher: Max and just said the hell with it , let 's go film this ( mistaking the character for exploitative garbage)

I'm not expecting Ghost Rider 2 to really good. If it's more entertaining than the first , I'll leave satisfied.

I never expected this movie to be "liked" by critics, but I always expected it to be a fun Ghost Rider film that was an improvement over the first one.
