I don't get why everyone has a go at Nic Cage, I know he's done some go-awful movies but he's a good actor. He was the only thing about Ghost Rider that was remotely entertaining and I'm looking forward to see him take another bite at the cherry.
He would've made one hell of a Tony Stark if you ask me.

I've never minded Nic Cage, despite his "questionable" career.

Same here, I think people have gone overboard with their hatred of Cage.

I guess i'm the odd one out... I often find Nic Cage either below average or unwatchable.
He has been in some good films but hes never the bright spot in them. Hes just not for me. Sorry.

Cage actually almost played Tony Stark in 1997.

He was GREAT as Big Daddy in Kickass, and that's the best film I've seen him do in a long time. But... -Next -Ghost Rider -National Treasure 2 -Bangkok Dangerous -Knowing -Season of the Witch -Drive Angry -Tresspass I'm just starting to see a chain with the guy, to be honest; he's had a couple of good movies over the last 10 years, but he's not NEARLY as good as he was when he first started out and in the 90's.

Nicolas Cage is one of the most talented actors of his generation.
You doubt it ? Watch Leaving Las Vegas again, a movie for which he just won the academy award for the best actor in the world in 1996 Even if you don't like the movie, you can't doubt his impressive performance on it. As for him not making good movies at all ? What about Face/Off from John Woo and starring John Travolta alongside him ? This is well regarded as one of the greatest action/thriller movies of the 1990s by many critics and fans. Last but no least, the way, if not for one Nicolas Cage, I seriously doubt we would get another Ghost Rider moive at all... |

Nicholas Cage has a nice sized list of bad films, but his good performances outweigh the bad so I don't why he gets as much hate as he does.

Someone else said it before but, one thing you can never accuse Nic of, is phoning it in. This guy goes all out in everything I've seen. Not always the best actor, but he's sure as hell entertaining.

Awesome, be sure to give us enough info to know what to expect without spoiling anything major.

I guess it's a good sign they're having prescreenings for the press. Usually if it's beyond terrible they don't.

Yep that's how I feel, it won't be a great film but aleast it's going to be highly entertaining.

Kickass was the only good movie that Nic Cage has done in a long while. I disagree with you guys about him being Tony Stark in Iron Man. Maybe he could have done it in the 90's but RDJ NAILS the character in every way. I don't think Cage would top him in that role. Anyway, the negative reviews for Ghost Rider 2 should not shock anyone. I might still go see this at a matinee next weekend (in 2D).

Anyone see Nic Cage on Saturday Night Live? Gotta love his ability to make fun of his own movies.

I can't wait to see the reviews!
I'm anxious to know if this movie is good or not. But I think it will probably be bad.

The reviews will almost certainly be rotten. It'll likely fall somewhere between 20-40%, if I had to guess! If it was fresh I'd be pleasantly surprised... surprised and amazed.

Well like someone said earlier, both Crank and Crank 2 are certified "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes so there is a possibility that this film could be as well.
