When it comes to cinema score (which I'm not a fan of because it isn't nearly as accurrate as people pretend it is) a B is mediocre. Both Huntsman and Prometheus got a B and both fell off the face of the earth after their opening weekends.

Saw it again today. Yeah, it has some issues, but it's such a guilty pleasure. If it ends up bombing, it'll be destined to become a cult classic ala Rocky Horror.

Most audiences when they come out of a movie they just paid for supposedly won't trash it immediately. If they don't like it, they'll say, "It was just okay" and give it a "B." If they even mildly enjoy it, they'll give it a B+ to A. Kind of how like on IMDB users for new releases mostly vote "10" or "1" and if it's a lot of 10s, new releases randomly appear on the top 250 for a week.

Yeah id consider a B to be a pretty good rating, the reception in my packed theatre was very good.

Besides Hough's acting, I enjoyed it a lot. I thought Zeta-Jones was terrific as usual, and Cruise was just wild. Brand and Baldwin were hysterical. I understand where people are talking about the transitions, but that is just Cheesy Musical weirdness to me....I didn't see it as a problem. |

idk, I really like musicals in general, the transitions here seemed particularly garish, but again I only watched about 20 minutes of it, so i'll have to watch more of it.

No, you're right. This film doesn't have any of the polish or craft that Shankman's HAIRSPRAY had.

I didn't like Hairspray.....Travolta's character creeped me out....couldn't stand the movie.
Now, Chicago, that is a whole other story.... |

my favorite musical film is probably little shop of horrors, either that or producers, but I just love anything that Mel Brooks is involved in.

And hopefully some other goodies. It's apparently 103 minutes in length, and the original film is 94 minutes, and if you add the original ending it's still about 95 minutes.
Yeah, I'm the loser who did the math.

I'll have to check that out, I've only ever seen the original ending in black and white on youtube.

I actually made my own fan edit of LSOH with the original ending and the audio of the rest of "The Meek Shall Inherit" set to pictures of the scene from a movie tie-in book, because I never thought it'd happen

I'm actually more into watching Les Miserables at the end of the year then this movie, and I've seen the show twice on Broadway. I'll probably watch it on Netflix, but I think Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough kinda soured me into paying $21.00 into seeing it.

Cruise is just ridiculous in how good he is. Singing and just his overall performance
