The Wind Waker finally gave Ganon a reason for conquering Hyrule, and the sword fight was awesome. It'll be hard to top that.

the sword fight in TP was more epic than WW. I love both games though. Skyward was a step back in my opinion

I would probably have to go with Ocarina of Time. Ganondorf was cool, then the escape... and then, just GANON (with no subtitle). Most climatic final fight.

I love Ocarina of Time... it's probably my favorite Zelda title and the end game was great too.. However, my favorite boss fight was probably the end game in Majora's Mask if only because I swear it took me a full year to get EVERY mask in that game so I could get the Fierce Deity's Mask to beat "Skull Kid."

You know, I realised today what I love about Zelda games but it doesn't feel like it's featured enough since Majoras Mask, it's the puzzles associated with quest items. I remember what a total thrill I got the first time in Ocarina when I realised you could use the rooster to wake up Malon's father, and then things like figuring out how to hatch the blue egg, stuff like that. That's why Majora's Mask is one of my favourite Zelda games because it was absolutely jampacked with stuff like that. You'd do so many quests in order to get masks and then with a lot of the masks, there was almost a puzzle element itself in actually figuring out how and when to use them. It just added this really exciting element of freedom where you felt like in any area you could potentially stumble upon a secret way to alter the environment, whether it's playing the song of storms to some frogs or or using a dance mask to dance with some freaky gypsy ladies.

That always gave Zelda games a huge sense of freedom which was invaluable considering at their core, they are fairly linear games. I think that's what I missed most from Twilight Princess, which was an otherwise great game, and it's still what I wish Skyward Sword and Windwaker did more, even though they still do it. In Skyward Sword, since you only really get the one overworld hub, it seems like such a waste that there aren't more places like the pumkin tavern on various floating islands. They could have put in so many more things and places like that.

I love Ocarina of Time and the final fight with Ganon. Epic is indeed the best description for it. But I also want to say Majora's Mask was my favorite, and same reason for what Benstamania said. I felt very satisfied when I collected all the masks and got the Fierce Diety's Mask.

The final fight in SS was disappointingly easy. There wasn't much more to it than hitting him a whole bunch with your sword. I'm just now starting TP, I'm excited to get to it.

WW's was better. It was more challenging and it ends with you impaling the Master Sword into his friggin head.

I never felt so underwhelmed after beating Ganondorf in Twilight Princess. It's kinda hard to top being able to stab Ganondorf in the freaking face, and the collapse of Hyrule around you, and the better color scheme, and Zelda actually participating in the battle, and Ganondorf just flat out losing his mind, I can go on and on.

Well, I did like the music. But really, having a final battle with Ganondorf in TP felt rather unnecessary.

The only thing that can top driving the Master Sword into Ganondorf's head is decapitating him.

Which brings up the question, should Ganondorf be used as the main villain again in the next game?

After playing through Skyward Sword, I actually think perhaps it's time Ninty did another direct sequel to a Zelda game on the primary console (Not counting handhelds). Majora's Mask is still one of my favourite games and I think doing the direct sequel gives them a lot more leeway to think out of the box in how to expand on it. I'm still really annoyed they did the sequel to Windwaker on DS instead of console.

Also, did anyone else freaking hate the Silent Realms?

I would love to see a sequel to Majora's Mask. It/he is a much more interesting villain than Ganon in my opinion. Hopefully they wouldn't just copy the three day/ time travel structure, but instead do something different but equally as unique.

If done properly I wouldn't mind. Wind Waker did him justice, Twilight Princess, on the other hand... Well, at least they gave him a cool redesign.

I would like to see a new incarnation of Ganondorf. Since Zelda and Link get reincarnated constantly, I don't see why Ganondorf couldn't. Would be interesting to see an incarnation of him and Link actually being on the same side. Even if he does inevitably betray the player. Perhaps in a mentor type role. Something different, in any event.

A lot of people blame the repetition of formula on Ganondorf but I actually think it's because they have to reinvent the world and and characters for every new generation Link. I would love to see a direct sequel with Ganondorf, Link and Zelda. I think the idea of those three in an eternal struggle is one of the most appealing things about the fiction and if they did a direct sequel to a game, like Skyward, Twilight, etc it'd give them a lot more freedom to do something really interesting with the narrative. I also can't wait to see what the next gen Wii U Zelda could be like. I hope they're smart and not afraid of risks. They have a golden oppurtunity to try and make a new Ocarina worthy game.

^ I would love to see a different incarnation of Ganondorf, if he comes back for another round. Like Thundercrack85 said, he could be on the same side and betray Link. Hell anything is possible.

Personally, I would rather have an original villain for the next game. Although, I found Demise a little boring even his name. It doesn't even have to be a villain it could just be an antagonist that isn't inherently good or evil.

Ah yes that mask sure was bizarre and creepy in an interesting way. How would a sequel work, though? Didn't the mask lose all power once Link defeated it? Unless it was a prequel of sorts to show how the mask came to be with Majora itself as the final boss. Nah, then that would take away the mystery of the mask.

I'm not sure about ALL the baddies, but I think Ganondorf is a definite yes.

Demise really felt like a watered down Ganondorf. An evil demon king sealed away. Certainly one thing I appreciated about Majora's Mask was the unique villain. Give us an evil Hyrulean King or something a bit more down to Earth.

Presumably not, unless it's a huge, lazy retcon. Ganondorf's hatred for Link's people is explained in Wind Waker. There have been other villains, with their own backstories. It's open to interpretation, but the ending of SS seems imply that Demise hatred won't die with him. Presumably that's a reference to Ganondorf... maybe Demise was the little devil on his shoulder. Which is unnecessary, since Ganondorf has his own thing going.

I enjoyed skyward sword a lot. There were times when I wanted to throw my controller at the screen: prime example was in lanryu forge where I needed to leap to avoid the air vents and it just would.not.do.it. After looking online I realized I wasn't the only one with the issue.

For the most part the motion controls really added to the gameplay and I enjoyed the characters and dungeons.

Biggest issue was definitely the repitition and going back to the same place over and over and over again. Plus the silent realms sucked and the fetch quests for stupid bugs and other misc. items for upgrading weapons and potions. Felt out of place for a Zelda game.
