So, can anybody explain to me what this "clean slate" thing means? I'm pretty sure the movie was a bit ambiguous with it all.

Actually you can live through a broken neck like Daggett does, which is to say you can live for a little bit before you die, hence the brief muffled whimpering. It's not always an instantaneous thing, just like a bullet to the head.

They describe it clearly. It pretty much just gets rid of any information about what you've done so you have a clean slate.

Daggett kind of reminded me of Jarvis (Mad Hatter).

Daggett didn't explain it awkwardly/clearly enough for you?

The Clean Slate? The plot device that requires a ton of exposition to be spilt in two single sentences? I don't have it.

No, I need it much more explained, much more thoroughly.

But it was a gangland myth!

I never realised how bad the dialogue was in that scene till the Blu-Ray.

Little too good to be true.

Daggett explaining exactly what the clean slate was to Selina and the audience was the only bit of exposition that bothered me. It was unfortunately blatant.

I remember watching that on the Blu-Ray and all I could think was:

All this over a USB

It is, but at the same time, people who are incredibly nervous also tend to babble incoherently.

He seemed to babble some pretty spot-on information then.

Of course

Or he realised having Selina Kyle sit on top of him was quite arousing.

I thought it was great. He's such an ass and he's just blatantly mocking her for believing such a ridiculous thing existed. He used her desperation to his advantage, and he's proud of it.
