Three episodes in and I love it, great writing and great cast.

This show is so great. I loved how this last episode just relentlessly ripped the Tea Party a new one.

Holy ****, they just owned Limbaugh, Beck and Bachmann in one segment! I love that this show is set one year behind real time which allows Sorkin to actually send out a really good message about both the media and American politics. He did it on The West Wing but being as this is set in reality he can do it with real issues and because it is on HBO there is no need to hold back.
I gotta admit, the first two episodes were a bit uneven but these past two have been AMAZING. This show may rival Boardwalk Empire for the best show on HBO.

So good. It is like Sorkin's trademark optimism mixed with the real world and it is brilliant. America could use a man like Will McAvoy and because this is set in the real world, we are being given him.

His date with the gun was Kathryn Hahn, right? I like her.
I'm really liking this show. Sam Waterston is killing it. |

This show reminds me alot of BBC show The Hour.
LA Times thinks so too. http://graphics.latimes.com/towergra...m-vs-bbc-hour/

Best episode so far.
Sorkin was on fire with the dialogue. Pretty much ripped those celebrity culture gossip hounds and annoying media personalities a new one. Only thing that would of made it better is if they swap Coldplay for Elbow.

Didn't like this episode so much, I couldn't stand Neal with the Bigfoot thingy and especially the romance stuff Don/Maggie/Jim etc. is just getting too much for me and what's worse is that it's given the same amount of attention as the parts which really drew me to the show, which is the coverage of the news. Also Sorkin's way too heavy-handed with the message, that's his style though but really, a little subtlety could go a long way.

and his writing of females still leaves a lot to be desired. apparently in sorkins world all women all irrational, overly emotional and cry at least once a day. I'm really enjoying Jeff Daniels in this though.

![]() I'm really digging Emily Mortimer's character. I did enjoy Will's discussion on the gossip news BS.

The first episode didn't win me over completely, but the second one tipped the scales a little more, and as of the third episode I was onboard. That and this last episode were absolutely fantastic.

It was real eerie watching this episode about the Gifford's shooting story unfold and gun control, ect then seeing what happened last night in Colorado.

The next episode is about Scott Walker's union busting in Wisconsin. I like the way this incorporates real news stories. I'm guessing that season 2 will cover the 2012 election?

I'd like this show a lot more if Sorkin knew how to write a competent female and would stop with the "tug at your heart string" endings.

I do like Will's put downs of TMI gossip writer Nina Howard although her character is boderline Evil Disney Queen at times. If Howard had a mustache she would be twirling it.
