Same here, thats why i've not been a fan of Neveldine/Taylor directing this, I wanted this movie to be a bit deeper than the previous movie but those guys wouldnt know how to do that.

Well, Nolan kind of had it easy considering there are no supernatural or sci-fi elements in his Batman series, sans technology. Inception was maybe the closest he got to a supernatural based thing, and maybe that Prestige flick. He likes his fantasy to be real subtle though.

There were subtle sci fi elements in the the Nolan Batman films, but regardless, the idea of a man in a bat costume is still 'out there'.

Supernatural and fantasy themed characters can be done right. The Crow, Thor, and Blade come to mind.

Ghost Rider deserves no less.

The first clip looked great! Hopefully it was edited down a bit because it felt choppy in places, but I really like the feel they're going for with the action.

Yeah, that HAD to have been edited because that was choppy beyond belief. This is pretty common practice for when promotional clips are released (though this is one of the worst examples I've seen in a long time). VFX looking solid though.
