Wonder if he'll be a Lucius Fox type who helps Superman get off the ground. So to speak.

What would Hamilton do for Superman to get him "off the ground"? I'm sure there's the rare occasion where he needs the help of a scientist, but he doesn't need help starting out. All the gadgets he needs are built in, they're part of his physiology, and the suit is Kryptonian.

I dunno, I'm sure that there could be a number of possibilities, depending on what the story of the script is. It would obviously not be the same context as in Batman.

Richard Schiff talks MOS: http://www.iamrogue.com/news/intervi...-of-steel.html

Few keypoints:

- He was actually cast in the film over the summer but because his role wasn’t schedule to shoot until the last six weeks of production he couldn’t tell anyone till now.

-He has already shot several scenes and returns to Vancouver this weekend to shoot for a few more weeks.

-So far he has shot scenes with Amy Adams and Christopher Meloni.

-He will share a scene in the film with Henry Cavill.

-He confirmed that his character’s first name is Emil and that he is a scientist. However, he would not confirm if his character is the same one found in the comics, or whether he will be portrayed as Superman’s friend or enemy in the upcoming film.

That was a good read.

Glad to hear he has scenes with Amy, Chris and Henry. It gives this vague picture of his character, being consulted by the military, questioned by Lois Lane... And possibly helping Superman in some capacity

Schiff: Did you know that Amy was on The West Wing years ago? That’s where I first got to work with her. She was in a double episode arc (Season Four: 20 Hours in America Part I & II) where we all got lost in Indiana. She was the local recruiter on the campaign who guided us around the territory. That was Amy! As soon as I started working with that girl I went, oh wow, this young lady is going places. I’ve very happily followed her career. I may have run into her a couple of times and congratulated her but she hasn’t changed a bit. She’s lovely, goofy, and extraordinarily talented. So it was fun reuniting with her. She was a lot of fun and I love working with her a lot.

Nice screens RussiaNet! Looking foward to seeing Lois and Emil interact in MOS. Im sure he'll be working for STAR labs who will - via goverment - have special interest to capture and examine Superman. I just hope he'll be the good guy in this version and help the big blue out if needed.

It seems more like Cadmus would be the villainous lab with STAR being the more ethical.

I agree. The idea of STAR Labs or Hamilton regularly supplying intelligence and resources that Supes lacks strikes me as odd. I think of Supes as being more self-sufficient.

I'd say it's pretty close yeah, though I think his power levels were a little low on the show and I'm not even basing that on the fact that Batman threw him across a room. Of course, Batman can also jump 40 feet in the air in the DCAU, so...

This makes sense. We all knew it would be something weapons-based/military-based, haha.

I'm wondering if they'll follow the comics and have him kind of be an ally yet enemy of Supes at the same time. Maybe actually working for Lex or ending up being under Lexcorp's thumb or something.

I wonder if were going to see Emil & Superman friendship being to unfold in this film that STAR Labs will play a bigger role in future installments of films with Hamilton offering Superman scientific assistant similar to how it was showcased in Superman: The Animated Series where Hamilton constructed various suits for Superman (Space, underwater, and anti-Kryptonite suit).

Yes, Emil Hamilton in the comics and animated series went from Superman's friend and helper to an enemy, basically a disciple of Luthor's war on Supes. I think this would be a great thing to see happen in MOS sequels, and differentiates him from the Lucious Fox role.

He wasn't a disciple. He didn't like Lex and Lex wasn't even his boss. It was the U.S. Government. In Particularly Ms. Waller. No, Supes got Mind controlled by Darksied and nearly took over the world. He was scared of Supes. Which makes sense, seeing as what happened.

So you come in here and question the point of the thread someone tells you how to find your answer and say no? What was the point of coming in the thread in the first place?
