That's where I think you're wrong. I've seen more of Routh's acting skills (in other films, shows, etc) and I think he's definitely the better actor. I remember Cain playing a role (as a bad guy) in Smallville. That was so. incredibly. bad... It made me cringe in my seat.

To be honest, it's Routh's performances in other non-Superman appearances that expose how not good of an actor he is. Cain was at least a solid TV actor that you could put in various roles et al, and he could handle his craft. For Routh....acting just doesn't look to be his thing. Modeling, maybe.

Still don't agree with you. But I guess we'll never see eye to eye on this one. It's one of those 'taste' matters, if you know what I mean.

I guess we'll just have to go back to the costume subject, but to be honest, I'm all done with talking about it.

Seriously though...has Routh really been seen as a good actor outside of Superman? Obviously, he's no Hugh Jackman, but really.....Routh?

I honestly think Routh would be good in a comedy in which he plays a very straight/square guy. In fact, I was hoping that someone like the Farrely Bros. would cast him and Welling in a movie about two estranged brothers...one the straight guy business school grad, the other a slacker who drives an ice-cream truck....who inherit their father's toy company.

Watch Chuck (3rd season). He's playing a bad guy, named Daniel Shaw. He proved to me there he's capable of much more. He has improved a lot too. Just up until now he has made sh**ty choices for roles.

And that's all I'm going to say about it here . I'd sure like to talk about it more, but this just not the place to do it.

Well, there's not really much to say about his acting, aside from I guess it was nice while it lasted, so.....

Perhaps a parallel universe where time moves at a different rate than in our universe.

I hope he simply utilizes it to show his super-speed. I think that has a high likelihood.

I hope we actually Superman uses super speed in this sense:

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

This is a better method of showing the ability instead of "slowing it down". I don't mind it but we need to see stuff akin to that (around 1:22).

I said that a while ago , crazy dragonball z style fighting and I totally agree in the want and need to see stuff like that

but somebody made the point of noting that superman wouldn't smash people through buildings since a bystander could be seriously hurt or even killed

Yeah although the destruction isn't what I was highlighting. The destruction of an entire city is not what I want to see.

Just showing how I want speed (1:22 in the clip) to be shown in the movie.

I completely agree. I think it could be awesome to have a scene of Superman's arrival to save the day being followed by a sonic boom to demonstrate how fast he's flying.

I thought Brandon a was way more convincing as a villain in Chuck. You should check out this episode:

And I think he can deliver dialogue decently

Putting aside what they've done outside Superman, I think I'd put Cain ahead of Routh. He just felt more relaxed and less shaky in the role.
