Bleach - Part 1

Yeah Hell only get a quick mention in the very early chapters and after that Kubo didn't really want to focus on it much (rather at all).

Although he did help with the designs and some of the plot points for Bleach: Hell Verse. Which I really liked it.

If you're curious about that I'd recommend watching it. It gives an interesting enough look into the hell concept.

Good on you for starting this thread. It has definitely been a long journey.

Especially with the anime getting cancelled/going on hiatus. Still reading the manga though which currently is "alright". I hope it gets better though.

I love Studio Pierrots animation. I don't think it was their fault seeing as the Fullbringer arc was already getting low ratings in manga form anyway. That's more of an issue with Kubo.

I enjoyed most of the last arc for the exception of the last third of it. There was no satisfying conclusion to Ginjou. He was a shell of much better fleshed out villain from past shonen like Sensui from YuYu Hakusho.

It just felt really half baked. Studio Pierrots animation for Bleach though has always been a personal highlight of the franchise in general. I do hope that once this current arc advances some more that we'll end up seeing the return of the same cast & crew to adapt this Thousand Year Blood War arc.

Bleach is getting quite exciting now, lots of cannon fodder. However, Kubo's thing of having sections of a body being blown away is getting kind of old since they always survive.

Very exciting chapter and it'll be interesting to see how the Captains will regain their Bankai's (if at all). I don't think Byakuya's plan was all that bad. There Bankai's were going to be sealed/stolen anyway so this plan of having their Vice Captain's figuring out to find a weak spot as the Captains engage them in battle to try in finding that point of weakness is really the only plan of attack they can get.

Attacking them just head on is something only Kenpachi can do right now in SS. It should be good to see where this goes.

Is it just me or this invasion seems to be moving more quickly than it did with hueco mundo and Aizen's invasion? Seems like this invasion may only be the introduction of the arc if it's going to last in least 8-10 years, can't wait to see the soul king's reveal and Aizen back

I'm enjoying the pace personally. I like how it's moving briskly yet taking its time with revealing the bigger details slowly. There's a lot of ground to still cover.

I'm kinda bugged by how many character's faces look just like Aizen, but oh well.

As for the Bankai being sealed, maybe they'll discover about a third level of release for their zampakutous. How about that?

Maybe but Bankai already means full release. It would seem like the perfect time to introduce the Zero Squad.

How far caught up are you with the manga or anime?

I don't read the Manga, only read quick chapter summaries of it on the Bleach Wiki. I'm at the current arc, but I haven't kept up for about 2-3 weeks.

I watch/love the anime. I was still on the Xcution arc, but I haven't finished it yet.

I don't recall hearing the name Zero Squad. but I don't mind spoilers....lol

I forgot about the Zero Squad. Maybe Aizen will help at some point, too

Zero Squad or the Royal Guard basically protect the Spirit King. The person Azien was trying to get to using the Spirit Key. So far there hasn't been much mentioned about them except that you become one by being promoted from one of the Captains.

I'm really excited that Kenny is probably going to lay the floor with some of these guys but why did they have to kill Byakuya?

Kubo is tearing me apart.
