John Woo's action in Hard Target is incredible! he had the right idea in how he directed Van

Damme.

It's probably JCV's best but I'll always have a soft spot for Sudden Death.

Apparently the set was a nightmare because neither Woo or JC spoke English very well!

Look up the last two Undisputed films and.... maybe Ninja. He was also the stunt double for Deadpool in X-Men Origins

Scott Adkins is a great martial artist and some of his movies are quite entertaining, but he himself... comes off as a little bit boring. Not nearly as "cool" and "charismatic" as the old action guys, but most people these days are like that. I think that's because he's quite normal - most action stars are rather nuts in real life, from what I've read so far.

All that JCVD talk earlier in the thread just makes me want to have a huge Van Damme Marathon.

Has anyone here seen Assassination Games? I heard it was not so great on the action front, but a pretty decent film.

And speaking of Adkins. Check out the trailer for Metal Hurlant Chronicles. With names like, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai white, Darren Shahlavi, Matt Mullins, David Belle and Rutger Hauer, it sounds so awesome.

It's incredibly disappointing that this is watered down to appeal to the people crying because they couldn't get into to see it if it was rated R.
