I'd also like it if they made Lana being the one in love with Clark and him being sort of indifferent to it, as we've seen in some comics. But I kind of doubt they'll go that way. And I'd rather not see Lana Lang after this, at least not for the sequel, if one happens.
Well there was speculation on how we'll see a teenager Clark save a school bus or something during his youth, so if we were to go by romantic development perspective alone, perhaps Lana's reaction to seeing Clark do something "unnatural" or her reaction of learning about someone who could do those things won't be so favorable towards Clark as opposed to Lois's reactions when she meets and hears about Clark's heroics as an adult.

Hm, that's an interesting point. Especially since it seems they'll go with the whole ´´super powered alien - friend or foe`` kind of thing in this movie, one natural reaction a human would have, especially a young girl, would be that of fear. Which would make Clark feel even more alienated, when he sees how Lana reacts to him using his abilities. IF she does of course. That would be interesting but also make her someone who is in on the secret.

It would have been cool to include scenes with them maybe around their teenage years, but the exclusion from MOS makes me wonder if Snyder wants Lana at all later on.
